Seas Of Years - Rely On Thermal Winds

In order to reconstruct a piece you first have to take it apart and engage it in a way that with its destruction you bring a new creation to life, in which something from the original still lives in. It is channeling the work through another imagination. By channelling a piece of music through different imaginations you will find out that it has many hubs and nodes that were hidden in the original. In this series we try to explore this idea by letting artists find these hubs and nodes that make up a work and have them rearranged. Then you can see the work in the light of other creative minds, generating a vast network of musical landscapes connected by an invisible line that is the original music’s destruction.

The first installment of the "Rekonstrukt" series takes the acclaimed debut LP from Iranian computer musician Tegh as its subject. The album "Night Scenes" was released on January 2014 by the Canadian label "Inner Ocean Records". We present you a series of Rekonstrukts by well known and respected musicians from Ambient, Drone and other experimental styles of electronic music. From shadowy sounds of Umchunga (Hibernate) to techno crescendo of Dag Rosenqvist, there is a wide variety of tastes at work here but at the same time all of the tracks maintain the brooding nocturnal mood of the original album, making it a great late night listen. The release comes with a digital booklet of Sadaf Azadehfar`s analog photos of Iran's southern seascapes. Each track was assigned a photograph capturing the mood and overall atmosphere of the track as well as the album.
