I love meeting new people. Especially people you meet that are super open and kind from the very start and acts like you known each other for a very long time. JStaaf is one of those people. No fuzz, nothing complicated, just pure fun, kindness and a lot of positive energy. Just like Storken, JStaaf delivered this mix after only two days and it is nothing short than amazing! 

This mix is a french love story with a norwegian touch! That would be my description of this perfectly balanced soul serum. We start off in downtempo dub heaven that delays into some slow french big band disco with hooks and dreamy choirs. We then pick up the tempo with some indie dance and afro house. Of Course there are influences from all over the world here but the common denominator for this whole mix is disco. And that disco often has a french pop/vocal/housey feeling to it. At Least in my mind and I love it. Where does the norwegian touch come in you wonder? Well... that is for you to find out yourself but let me tell you, as a half norwegian humanoid myself, it is worth finding out. Ask my wife!

Mico Live from Quimixtico 2021

There’s been a lot going on recently, and hitting the end of second year of this 💩 . It seems like everyone including myself is in an interesting state of wandering, reflection, and sort of limbo, waiting for what’s next. I’ve been seeing a lot of people around town going internal, with a long lost stare on their faces. I feel it, and am guilty of the same. We’re all wondering what’s next and looking at the horizon for answers. 

But it’s all got to shift soon. Everything comes in waves, so this trough is on its way up. 

This mix of some of my favorite abstract and ethereal tracks designed for a rainy day, time out in nature, or anytime you just need to stare out a window and feel it.

With sunny days ahead and the new year almost here, there’s light at the end of the tunnel and I figured today would be the perfect rainy inward sort of San Diego day to put this out.  Hope you likeyyy ❤️
