Julián Nates is an argentinian DJ, producer and drummer. He was introduced in the music world at the short age of 4, when he started to take regular violin and piano classes until his adolescence years. This is when he decided to start with drums lessons, in which he got to reach a professional formation at a prestigious music conservatory in Córdoba. At the age of 20 he started to develop a deep interest in electronic music. This lead him to take several courses in the city till he was fully trained as a DJ and producer. His musical style fluctuates between Deep House and Progressive House, with a very permanent feature of percussive and drum sounds. Julián has introduced his tracks in labels such as Nick Warren's label The Soundgarden, Balkan Connection, Soundteller, Or Two Strangers among others and nowadays he has several releases ready to.

Julián Nates es un DJ, productor y baterista argentino. Se introdujo en el mundo de la música a los 4 años, cuando comenzó a tomar clases regulares de violín y piano hasta su adolescencia. Fue entonces cuando decidió comenzar con clases de batería, donde alcanzó una formación profesional en un conservatorio de música de prestigio en la ciudad de Córdoba. A la edad de 20 años comenzó a desarrollar un profundo interés por la música electrónica. Esto lo llevó a tomar varios cursos en la ciudad hasta que estuvo completamente capacitado como DJ y productor. Su estilo musical fluctúa entre Deep House,  Progressive House y Techno Melódico. Julián ha introducido sus tracks en sellos como The Soundgarden, Balkan Connection, Or Two Strangers e ICONYC entre otros.

Dichotomies By Julian Nates Episode 12

Marcus Crane – Born and raised in Antwerp, carved out of concrete and shadows. My roots run deep in a city that showed me both the beauty and the brutality of life. From an early age Hip Hop was my weapon, my therapy, words became poetry, beats became blood pumping through my veins. That raw energy kept me alive when the world felt like it wanted to drag me under.

But then Techno entered. Not just sound... a force. It cut straight to the soul, stripped me down, rebuilt me. Where Hip Hop taught me how to fight, Techno taught me how to heal. In the darkest nights, music was the only voice that answered back. The only thing that never turned its back on me.

I don’t play safe. I don’t play perfect. I play real. Every mix is a scar, a story, a release. What heals me might heal somebody else. What makes me rise might pull another out of the fire. I’m not here to copy, I’m here to create, to progress, to turn pain into power, chaos into rhythm.

This is my blank page, and I’m writing it in basslines, in echoes, in raw emotion. I come from the shadows, but I’m not staying there. Music is my path, my rebellion, my redemption. And I’m only just getting started.
