Mir fehlen immer noch die Worte...

Wow, was war das bitte für ein Erlebnis! Es war schon immer ein kleiner Traum von mir, einmal auf der Bucht spielen zu dürfen. Seit den Anfängen besuche ich die Bucht als Gast, und dieses wunderbare Festival zählt zu meinen absoluten Favoriten. Es fühlt sich jedes Mal wie ein familiäres Wiedersehen an, mit all den lieben und großartigen Menschen aka Buchtis <3

Und nun hatte ich am Samstag, von Mitternacht bis 2 Uhr, die Ehre, den Atlantis Floor zu bespielen. Was für ein unvergesslicher Moment! Ich war unglaublich aufgeregt und zutiefst gerührt, als ich sah, wie viele Menschen gekommen waren.

Von ganzem Herzen danke ich euch. Das war einer der intensivsten und schönsten Momente meines Lebens!

Born in the UK and now settled in South America, James Monro's immersion within the music industry goes back some 30 years. Having been classically trained at school, James' musical influences diverged into a long and keen love affair with all things electronic. From his initiation into the otherworldly sounds of Yello, Jean Michelle Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Visage, Human League, Brian Eno, Georgio Moroder and the more left field electronic experimental bands of the early 80's, and combined with a deep love of the psychedelic bands of the 70's, disco and early hip hop, it was inevitable that he fall into a passionate relationship with electronic dance music. He entered into club land, journeyed through the early daze of Acid House, the uk's "summers of love" in '88 and '89 , onto the beaches of Goa in the early '90's and out into the global circuit of parties and festivals that have since become his playground. All the while collecting the music as he went, finding and forging his own sound, and starting up the now legendary Flying Rhino Records with 2 friends in 1995.

With his countless influences, musical prowess and production skills, as a DJ, James weaves a heady journey through all styles of dance music. So much so that it's impossible to truly define his sound. Suffice to say it's deep, its hypnotic, it's emotional and above all fat and funky. James is always pushing the boundaries of what constitutes house or techno, and his passion for his craft has never faltered - his global schedule is testament to that. He's been touring the globe for over 20 years, and still can't get enough. He has played along side many of the leading lights of dance music - Carl Cox, Nick Warren, Sasha, Hernan Cataneo, Sven Vath, John Digweed and Dave Seaman, to name just a few. He has also played in some of the most famous clubs in the world, including Amnesia in Ibiza, Heaven in London, Womb in Tokyo, The Edge in Sao Paulo plus many of the best festivals and open-air parties on the planet - all the while garnering ideas and inspiration that have made him both a finely tuned producer and phenomenally passionate DJ who has cemented his name as a popular and seasoned favourite within the underground music scene…..

Fennec & Wolf translates directly to ‘desert fox’ – a fitting description to the life behind such artist. With his roots stemming from North Africa’s Tunisia, he later headed to Europe at the age of 10 alongside his four siblings to create a new future. Being the youngest of four, the different musical genres that he was exposed to from each family member only catalysed the musical creation and opened doors to push boundaries in the productions he delivers today.

DJing took a hold of him in his later teenage years spinning a selection of Hip-Hop, which then lead to the production element being introduced. Time in the studio has seen the genres evolve and shift, over the years moving away from the urban sounds, to the present day offering up deep and emotional house orientated beats. Rolling drums and empowering melodic lines are key elements to a Fennec & Wolf production, giving him an instantly recognisable sound and one that is also portrayed throughout the Incroyable Music family.

The home for such releases has always been under the Incroyable Music umbrella, of which Fennec & Wolf co-founded back in 2015 and has already offered five EP’s to
the imprint, many of which have landed himself firmly within the Beatport Top 100 Charts. This portfolio has grabbed the attention of the heavy weight editorials, with the likes of Mixmag having their say, plus mixtapes on Pioneer DJ Radio and on Deep House London.

His DJing career has seen him take behind the decks on a global scale, playing on both the club and festival scene in the likes of France, Italy, Morocco, Turkey, Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, USA and his resident country Germany.

Whether it’s behind the scenes or behind the decks, Marcus Meinhardt is definitely one of the most active members of the German club scene. The thirty-something Dj has defined the Berlin sound with his countless club gigs including his residency at the world renowned Watergate club. He is also a welcome guest on the international electronic parquet with his elegant, hypnotizing sets and sympathetic nature. He is a true character in the electronic music scene. Marcus is also a well known party organizer in and around Berlin; the Home Sweet Home parties have taken the cities best after hour locations by storm,. The famed Muna-Tent at the SonneMondSterne Festival would not be where it is today if it wasn’t for Markus’ co organization and closing sets.

He was born in the quiet county of Thüringen, where, once infected by the techno bug, he soon took up residency at the Muna, one of East Germany’s most renowned clubs. During this time he and the Muna team began organizing the SonneMondSterne-Festival, which, today is one of Europe’s largest and most famous Open Air’s.

Marcus finally moved to Berlin in 2002 where he took a head dive into the pulsating club scene that gave him enough room to experiment musically. This inspired him to begin producing his own tracks. His first EP was released in 2006 on Micro.Fon. In the beginning of 2007 Markus and his friends Marco Resmann and Hawks Grunert founded the label Upon You, which has managed to establish itself as one of the most important Tech-House-Labels in such short a time. His fine sense of Intuition for the dance floor can be detected when listening to his subtle arrangements and finely balanced sounds. Proof being »Drive It Mad Max«, »Pacey Lynn«, or »Jerry Lee« which are among the most successful Upon You releases to date. The Superflu Remix of Mad Max even made it on to Beatport’s »Best Underground Sellers 2009« list.

Marcus has learned a lot about the specialties of the music business through his work with Upon You. His commitment has made the label nights in Berlin’s Panorama Bar and arena club, Stuttgart’s Romy S and the international venues in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Milan as successful as they are. Marcus also helped to find new artists for the label Upon You. These days, Resmann and Grunert continue with the labelwork of Upon You while Meinhardt focus solely on his creative output.

In 2010 and 2011 he concentrated on his music production and travelled through the world presenting his musical ideas. On his journey Marcus was influenced and inspired by many musical genres and artists. As a result, Marcus decided to found his own Label called „Heinz-Music“ this forward thinking label will be a platform where his fellow artists and friends can have fun with and enjoy a musical experience mainly orientated on dance floor music.
