a song about loss

i've been thinking about loss lately. perhaps it's the starkest sorrow that man must reckon with in life. and yet, i'm consoled by this passage, john 14:16-18 which reads,
"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper [or friend], that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you."

there is one who we will never need to say bye to, on whom the sun never sets. God bless.
