From the makers of Slime Recordings comes a little label for loud music – BOSS MODE.

With a focus on bass-heavy sounds from all genres, the imprint is ready to deliver some incredible music in 2016. 

With a trio of monster releases from KLIENT, HYPHO and JOEDAN already tearing up clubs across the world this year, we turn to NEGATIV to deliver our next salvo of futuristic bass.

The Polish duo have been honing their craft for some time now with an innate sense of what really works in a club environment, and with ‘Singularity’ they provide that knowledge with a dark and deadly 4X4 rhythm designed to turn up the heat on any discerning dancefloor.

UK producer PELIKANN steps into the fray on the digital flip’s collaboration, with ‘Banshee’ living up to its name as a monster of a track. Seeping malevolence out of every byte, retrofitted jungle percussion is strapped to a gargantuan bassbin warhead that will punish sound systems and the tread on clubbers footwear alike.

Up and coming duo BARELY ROYAL & BUNNIE transform the latter track into a buzzing rave anthem, twisting the bassline into strange new mutations. Label alumni HYPHO completes the release with a deep and mesmerizing reconstruction of the same track into a pulsating half-step roller.

Elevate is a label run by Techno mainstays Pig&Dan who are an international DJ and production duo, who along with releases on Elevate are a regular feature on labels including Drumcode, Cocoon, Bedrock and Terminal M.

Finishing off 2016 with a look to the future, the label owners have compiled a special 21 track release titled ‘Next Generation’.

Handpicked by Pig&Dan themselves the new Elevate release is very much a family gathering, where Elevate favourites like Mark Reeve, Aitor Ronda, Rob Hes and Carlo Ruetz get to meet and interact with artists like Etai Tarazi, Fideles and Sezer Uysal who are making their debut appearance on the label.

Each of the artists who feature on the release come with a proven musical pedigree with artists like Mark Reeve having recently released on Drumcode, and Sezer Uysal is heavily associated with Suara.

Carlo Ruetz has done a solo release on Richie Hawtin’s iconic label Minus, and Etai Tarazi has put out a number of EP’s on Sian's Octopus Records.

The list of prestigious things achieved by each of the artists on Elevate's forthcoming Next Generation release is endless, and most importantly the music is nothing less than spectacular!

Dancefloor focused with tough grooves and captivating tones, each track is programmed to perfection, and this sampler showcases six of the tracks from the release.

Die Sendung im Dezember fand zwischen den Jahren statt. Mit den Gästen von Drag & Drop hatten wir uns nachträglich sogar einen Weihnachstwunsch erfüllt. Denn das sympatische Produzenten und DJ-Duo haben einen sehr coolen Sound am Start, den es "live in the mix" zu hören gab.

Neben der Musik erwartete Euch auch diesmal zwischendurch die gewohnte Mischung aus Szenetalk und Dummgebabbel. Weil Papa Johann krank wat übernahm sein Part diesmal Steve Simon. Gemeinsam mit Grille gab es dann einen kleinen Jahresrückblick auf Ereignisse in der lokalen Szene.

Timmo follows up his debut Drumcode release ‘We Beat On’ with a brand new 4-tracker packed to the rafters with his own unique blend of techno. His productions are getting plays from the likes of Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati and Richie Hawtin amongst others; 2017 is set to be his biggest year yet. 

Timmo’s unique sound has captured the eyes and ears of many highly revered techno DJs around the world and his ‘System’ release is a stark reminder of exactly why this is. ‘Intensify’ is a big room record that is set to do some real damage on dance floors worldwide. This peak time tool thumps through 7 minutes of power, dragging you in and throwing you out the other side as the track rolls on. 
‘The Maze’ is an example of his excellent production, with his use of synths on a level that some producers take years to hone. ‘System’ is a haunting track, authentic four-to-the-floor techno that screams in to top gear right from the off. The release closes with the more groove and bass line laden ‘Together’. One of those tracks that is guaranteed to get stuck in your head…
