So for my non Swedish followers you’re probably lost af right now, honestly so am I, but for some reason my first TikTok ever went kinda bannans in Sweden two years ago. It was an edit of Avicii’s song levels I made for DJ gig I had the day after the Covid-19 restrictions was removed in Sweden. So to celebrate that freedom I made like a fun intro with some shitty text to speech service imitating the metro lady who usually says ”End station, all travelers must step off…” But I extended it to also say like ”I just want to announce that the restrictions are over, so let’s fuckin gooo”.

Anyways didn’t think much of it. But for some reason I showed it to my sister, which I usually never do with any music stuff. She thought it was funny and filmed it to her friends. I guess they all liked it because afterwards she wanted me to airdrop it so she could make it a sound TikTok. Stubbrond and greedy as I am, I stepped off my high horse and downloaded TikTok for the first time and made it a sound myself.

And she was sooo right, the sound began making noise after famous Swedish influencer Johanna Nordström’s video! Eventually the sound ended up becoming the template sound for celebration videos where you showed what you did when all restrictions was removed.   in the TikTok comment section people really wanted special tailored versions for their exams. Cause for the final exam day In Swedish school for 16-19 years olds we choose a song we sprint out of the school to. So students wanted that TikTok sound but to say “End station for” and then their Class name. I guess due to half of their studying years had been over zoom, and low key ruined by the pandemic restrictions, so the sound fitted to celebrate it finally being over! 

So it rained in request, like once a day for three months. Was so so so fun, the students had the weirdest fkn ideas! And yeah so I did quite a few of those special versions! It got a point that it attract the attention of Expressen, one of Sweden’s biggest newspapers. Which was hugeeee for me. So strange so get an opportunity to be interviewed for something I made. I know it arguably ain’t really for my work and all credit to Avicii honestly, but still, it was a bit validating as an artist. 

I just wanna end this long ass story time with a big THANKS. This would’ve never happened without the people sharing it and liking it. Like this shitty TikTok lead to me getting my first payed gigs, first time hearing people talking about me in public without knowing me and so much more crazy stuff. So thanks.
