A little different to my usual stuff - I wanted to make something that was centred around a challenging vocal line. This song is a cover of Daniel Caesar's 'Best Part'. Ensuring not to make the song too similar to the original, this song was inspired by Jordan Rakei's take on the tune.
It only uses four instruments: Piano, Rhodes, Drums, Strings. I didn't want to make it too thick and thus take away from the vocals.
I haven't posted in a while as my computer was broken all summer, but a lot more to come after this :)

Best Part

So around a year ago I created an orchestral piece designed to be some sort of soundtrack - however, the string samples that I used were from logic, and to be honest weren't great. I've, since then, purchased a Spitfire Audio string library - and the samples are so much nicer. here is the same track, with the much nicer and more realistic strings. I recommend using headphones for this one.

Iridescence (Spitfire Audio)

I've been working on this project for the last year. Its a reharmonized version of Bill Withers's 'Ain't No Sunshine'
I used like six different drum kits from logic to get the beat sounding right, along with a Ronni Size sample for the Drum & Bass.
Its been a while since I've posted. I will try to be more regular!

I made this the other day when revisiting an old beat I'd made. I was looking to create something based on the influences of Kid A (Radiohead)and Feel First Life (Jon Hopkins).

I See You When I Shouldn't

My first house release! Excited to share a track I've made over the last few days. This started from an old Nord sample I made a few years ago (the very beginning chords). I wanted to make this track pretty synth heavy... I hope you enjoy it :)
I took the cover photo when walking alongside the Berlin Wall.

Nostalgia

This is a track Duality recorded at the SSL studio in Liverpool. Was great fun making it. We wanted it to be quite free - so left a lot of room for improv as you'll hear... I based the chords off my track 'Keeping The Vibe'

Really excited to release this house track. 
The drums consist of four different samples - listen out for them.

Kanye's Ultralight beam slowed down and jazzed up

Ultralight Beam

This song is based around the guitar you hear at the start - (provided by Tom Tranter).  There's loads of rhythmical variations in the background so keep a sharp ear. I've been lucky enough to have Tash Burnell come in and record some awesome vocals.
Talk Talk, The Cinematic Orchestra, Elbow and Zero 7 have been my main influences here.

Stop Staring (Ft. Tash Burnell, Tom Tranter)

This is one of my first attempts at creating a more classical piece. Having sorted the first half, I then decided to change the feel of the song completely; adding in some jazzy Rhodes Piano and a drum sample by Aim. Pink Floyd's 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' was a massive influence whilst creating this song, along with Nightmares On Wax.
Took a few days of having little work at Uni to make.

Conundrum
