An upbeat jug band music song. The lyrics are about facing death, but no need for pain, for most listeners the death narrative goes unnoticed. Added to that, the spirit of the song is bouncy with happy jug band instrumentation.

Bubble Bop

The Starbucks menu inspired me to write this song. But as it is, coffee seems to be one of the most favorite metaphor among songwriters. Coffee and music go way back used in many songs such as, “One More Cup of Coffee” by Bob Dylan.
I wrote this track as an homage to my favorite drink, coffee. This song uses figurative comparison type lyrics associating bad coffee with bad women. I got the title “Dirty Water” from "aqua sucia" a Spanish slang translation of bad coffee.
The music has a New Orleans style progression with quirky jug band instrumentation, (washboard, kazoo, jug, slide whistle, melodica and banjitar). I can envision this song played at Starbucks’ “Happy Music Playlist”.

This track is about a heartbroken man recently dumped by his hot girlfriend, she left him for a much richer man from Dubai. As a conclusion, the story ends well for heartbroken man but not for his ex.

The biggest mystery of all are the many physical sensations we get when we fall in love: fast heart beats, flushed cheeks, tightness of the throat, and other reactions we get when we meet someone we’re attracted to.
Mystery conundrum or not we should assume the old idiom and appear “COOL, CALM AND COLLECTED.”

I’m Cool Calm and Collected

This song was written for a Halloween book reading event for kids. The author of the book needed a folk song for a video ad that calls attention to the amazing but misunderstood life of a bat. Directed at children, this book brings awareness to bats, bats are amazing but unfortunately very misunderstood.

The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. “Picky Patty” is a song about a woman named Patty with a long list of expectations and demands from men. Many women meet good men, but they’re never satisfied. They are always looking out for the next best option, but in reality, “no man can ever measure up to their high standards: six feet tall, six-pack abs, a six-figure salary, and fifty shades of gray, etc.” In conclusion, they’re delusional and out of touch with reality; Patty needs psychiatric help.

Swing-revival, “Nothing But Drama” is a song about searching the world for a special someone but only encountering belligerents who are hooked on drama.

At the song’s conclusion, we can only find a new perspective within ourselves, better off alone with no more drama and no more worries.
