SCI+TEC welcome a new name to the label, but a very much established artist on the scene. Rumors, Get Physical, Saved and Akbal are just some of the labels to have released the music of Italian producer Lancaster, and his residency at Barcelona’s Macarena club, that now tops a decade, has lead to an unrivaled knowledge of how to exquisitely manipulate a dancefloor. 

This enviable skill for warming a room, building tension and atmosphere within the boundary of four walls, has transferred to Lancaster’s own productions. Intricate and precise, with minute and delicate movements, his music is perfect for those enduring and extended sets. 

His debut plunges us into the deep, as we go Diving With Sharks. Opener ‘More Music’ is a perfect, beatless intro that features the vocals of Mo Pink. Cymbals, synth and sirens, cascading and crashing in bombastic fashion. Quite the opposite is the deep, bubbling slink of the title track. Warm bass and fluid fx see the track flow, as a variety of vocal samples lap back and forth within the mix. The addition of stormy synth stabs however, keep us on our toes. 

Final track ‘Bubble’, is a sparse and spacey affair. The emptiness is filled with a solid kick-drum, echoing fx and a ticking clock. Which surely must be signalling the end of our debut with Lancaster. We can’t wait to have him back.

In 1997 he starts mixing his first electronic vinyls. Constantly expanding his creativity and skills he gets to play in various nameable clubs throughout Germany in the following years, finally opening up for additional gear to turntables to try out new methods and shape his personal style.
 
Since 2004 he's been upgrading his set-up with digital / analogue equipment to characterize his work as a DJ and to enable himself to make use of personal elements or samples [workinprogress].This Techno-logy offers the chance to intuitively apply percussion, single sounds or sequences and build up incomparable modulation and mixes. Re-Drum machines, sampler, synthesizer fuse with vinyl.
 
In 2011 his first own techno tracks are published on lables in Germany, Great Britain, Italy, France, Columbia, etc.
 
Influenced by the early Detroit he transforms components like melodies, atmospheres, vocals or grooves into a symbiosis of classic passion and modern identity. Harmonies, chords, layers are burst to evolve in a new shape – unlimited sound emerging from an artistic abuse of technology.

 DJ, Produzent / nahe Berlin ansässig.
1997 beginnt er seine ersten elektronischen Tracks zu mixen. Mit einer konstanten kreativen Expansion im Bereich DJ-ing, spielt er sich die folgenden 6 Jahre erfolgreich durch zahlreiche Clubs und Events in ganz Deutschland. Neben dem Auflegen mit Vinyl öffnet er sich bald für weitaus mehr Möglichkeiten um seinen Stil zu prägen.

Seit 2004 erweitert er sein Set - Up um digitales / analoges Equipment,
was seinen Stil als DJ individuell ausprägt und das Zuspielen eigener Elemente oder Samples ermöglicht [WORKINPOGRESS]. Diese Techno - Logie bietet die unmittelbare Möglichkeit Percussion, Sounds oder Sequenzen einfließen zu lassen und Sets einzigartig zu modulieren. ReDrum Machines, Sampler, Synthesizer gemischt mit Vinyl.

2011 folgen die Veröffentlichungen erster eigener Techno Produktionen auf Labels in Deutschland, Großbritannien, Italien, Kolumbien, Frankreich etc.

 Charakteristisch orientiert an Melodien, Atmosphären, Voices oder Groove-Rhythmen aus Detroit, komponiert er eine moderne Symbiose, die von Eigensinn und Leidenschaft gekennzeichnet ist. Harmonien, Akkorde, Sounds werden gesprengt um sich neu zu entfalten - In der Grenzenlosigkeit der Musik, im künstlerischen Missbrauch der Technik.
