BLOND:ISH’s Abracadabra imprint drops its second release of 2025, welcoming back Presi On and Renate, who have teamed up with Marcus Santoro on their highly anticipated new single ‘The World’, featuring dance music collective Kuuda.

“The World was born from the desire to collaborate with Marcus Santoro. In fact, we connected through our previous release, ‘Mawu’, which Marcus loved and supported in one of his sets. Since then, we wanted to create something together. We began composing and crafting emotional and epic melodies while also paying tribute to the roots of Chicago house. Kuuda, a dance music collective from the UK known for their signature gospel vibe and captivating choirs, was tasked with recording vocal portion of our track. And that’s how we arrived at the final version. We sent our track to Viv (BLOND:ISH), who was immediately captivated, and soon after, she started playing it in most of her sets, to rapturous reaction, and finally a full release on her ABRACADABRA label.”

Melbourne-based Marcus Santoro shows no signs of slowing down with his first single of 2025 together with rising duo Higher Lane for ‘Glow’ on Resound Records. This is the pairs second collaboration, following on from 2023’s progressive gem ‘Only For The Night’ together with Monocule (aka Nicky Romero) on Protocol Recordings. 

‘Glow’ pulls the audience in through its distinct warmness and rhythm. It’s packed full of admirable and tremendous vocal lines, about pushing through the darkness to come out better on the other side, and to “keep shining”, combining perfectly with golden piano chords. The track builds momentum alongside its rhythm section, which features a groove laden bass line, a thudding kick and accompanying afro inspired percussions, all topped off with a vibrant saxophone solo.

Melbourne-based producer & DJ Marcus Santoro has spent over a decade carving out a distinct sound rooted in melody, depth, and evolution. From the early trance records that sparked his love for electronic music to the rich, textured landscapes of Afro and progressive house that define his current sound, Santoro has always been guided by one thing: feeling.

With millions of streams to his name and support from icons like Swedish House Mafia, Black Coffee, David Guetta, Diplo, and BLOND:ISH to name a few, Santoro is a standout name in Australia's dance music scene.

In 2024 he expanded his sonic palette with 'Nowhere', a collaboration with Nico de Andrea on Armada Music - followed by a reimagining of Opus III's 'Fine Day' with Nicky Romero under his Monocule alias on Protocol. Furthermore, his track 'Haunted' with Lohrasp Kansara via in partnership with MDLBeast and Resound Records gained global support from the likes of Adriatique, THEMBA, and BLOND:ISH.

Santoro's polished production has led to a celebrated touring history, including performances at Tomorrowland UNITE, Ultra Music Festival, headline spots at Marquee and Cafe del Mar, and hand-picked to support Above & Beyond on their Common Ground world tour.
