Pictures is the first peek at a fresh new project, emerging from Mared's lockdown musical evolution, which involved co-writing with producer Nate Williams (multi-instrumentalist known for playing keys with the likes of Jamiroquai and Steve Winwood). Mared took her stripped back and soul-pop tunes to his studio in Anglesey as their minds met to create an energetic yet calming production. Mared's uplifting vocals are at the heart of the songs, taking inspiration from a blend of singer-songwriters such as Emily King, Lianne La Havas and Eloise.
