I have been playing Dubstep for 6months now.  This was a huge challenge to play at a DJ Competition but I learnt so much:  BPM transitions, Using FX to transitions to a variety of tracks with huge differences in BPM range - 140, 87, 150, 75 all without touching the Sync Button, 

Lots of learnings:  This set has not been mastered and has the odd rough transition but overall I am happy with it. Enjoy! :)

Deep Wobbly 140 which slowly builds and as always takes you on a journey. The final track is a teaser changeup track, to show you where I could take the set if I played for another hour. 

Song selection and arrangement and how I can melt one track into another is what I vibe but im always exploring new ways of mixing and 4eva learning.  9mths since I started playing Dubstep and loving every minute 🤗 



01 Sacred Hills 2.0 - Deep Wobbly 140

Ode to the late 90s, early 2000 rave scene which I danced and partied my ass off to and discovered a whole new world of music that wasn't rock, roots or reggae. 

This set  will take you on a melodic techno/trance journey with some bangers thrown in.  Think Gatecrasher, MOS, Gods Kitchen.

This set begins with some deep progressive house into deep melodic and acid techno. A tribal soundscape and thumping bass to get your bush doof stomp on! I wish I had another 30min to keep playing and building the set.

Maree Js interest in all types of music has seen her play across the sonic spectrum traversing various house genres such as deep, progressive and melodic house and techno and downtempo grooves. Maree Js careful song selection and masterful set curation ensures you will be taken on a sonic journey wanting more. Maree J has had the pleasure of playing for various events and festivals such as Ctrl and Melbourne based progressive house DJ Mike Rish, The 8 Mile Yacht Club at Rabbits Eat Lettuce Festival, Earth Frequency Festival and Local bush doofs such as Sacred Hills 2.0. Maree J is also a regular member of Chicks and Decks playing at meet ups and events across Brisbane and supporting up and coming female DJs.  Over the past 12 months Maree J began exploring her love of deep and filthy 140 dubstep and wobbly basslines as Alias ConVergence.
