One of the most influential electronic producers in the world, Giorgio Moroder has been back in the spotlight in 2013.

If Donna Summer was the Queen of Disco, then it's fair to say her king was Giorgio Moroder. The Italian-born producer presided over some of her biggest hits, including "I Feel Love" and "Love to Love You Baby" – and pioneered electronic dance music in the process.

Four decades into a career that also includes award-winning work in cinema, with scores for Midnight Express and American Gigolo, Moroder is still going as strong as the beat in his songs. Among other projects this year, he collaborated with one of the biggest names in dance music, Daft Punk. The Grammy-nominated French duo invited Moroder into the studio — not to push buttons and twist knobs, but to narrate his own life.

@Jeepsooni is a rising DJ in Korea’s underground music scene. Her sound is rooted in disco but spans many genres. Mixing italo-disco, salsa, French pop, and jazz with house and disco to create energetic sets that resonate with diverse audiences. She organizes and directs Cha Cha Mambo, a party held at Itaewon’s Nyapi Club, where she introduces fresh musical direction to the local scene. At Cha Cha Mambo, Jeepsooni highlights emerging DJs, showcasing unique sounds that differ from mainstream trends, with an emphasis on high-energy disco. 

Her online mixes have featured on platforms like Sound Metaphors, Mothball FM, Headphone Magic, and Studio Namsan, have received widespread acclaim. 


Known for her unique selections and adaptable style, Jeepsooni is quickly establishing herself as a standout DJ in Seoul’s music landscape.

For edition 69 of our guest mix series, we welcome once again London-based record collector Ilan (Night City Life). A true Italo enthusiast, Ilan curated Night City Life (@spacetalkmusic), one of our favourite compilations of 2019. Night City Life II will be dropping this summer (and we can’t wait 🎷)

As a DJ his selections are always rich with nostalgia and emotion, taking us on a journey through time and sound. Here is a recording of his vinyl-only set from Flow Festival last year; an Italo-tinged expedition in the Helsinki sunshine.

LIFE CLASSICS 73 JEREMY CASTILLO

London based producers, visual artists and DJ duo, Good Block have been throwing parties in the capital for nearly 15 years. Hosting the likes of Ramzi, Mogwaa, Jex Opolis, Gabrielle Kwarteng, Jamie Tiller, Zaltan, Bufiman, Jon K, Cosmic Slop, Bradley Zero, Apiento, Bahamian Moor, Trujillo, Jonny Rock and many more. 

In 2018 the duo started a very popular dropbox folder of free edits which slowly continues to expand. With a string of productions and remixes on the likes of Isle Of Jura, Emotional Response, Planet Trip, Heels & Souls and Duca Bianco they also released three EPs - 4 Corners, Aquaculture and Naiad / Dryad on their own imprint.

On 20th March 2025 the duo will debut their full length album ‘Window’ a collection of works recorded between 2017 - 2024 representing hours of musical experimentation and emerging from the many influences that have shaped their sound. The album will be available on limited edition double gatefold vinyl and full digital release, with artwork by the duo.
