Two completely distinctive realms of physical phenomena, light and sound have many ways of finding each other outside of nature. They intermingle and even conflate in wonderful ways across many realms of human experience, notably in our perception of reality and in the language we create to make sense of it. While encounters of the first kind originate physiological particularities such as the condition we call 'synaesthesia', the second allows for philological oddities like the one that allows for the term 'chromatic' to share meanings in the description of musical elements and colour effects. It is right in this fertile terrain of rich linguistic ambiguities and infinite tonal possibilities where our guest for this episode found a place to thrive with her exquisite blends of rhythms and hues. Martha Pinel is one of the most celebrated selectors constantly traversing the "ponte aérea" (air bridge) that connects Rio and São Paulo, carrying aural tools of a myriad of provenances to create the kind of unique environments that would become the favourite destination for dancers of all of origins who simply wish to enjoy the corporeal pleasures of music with like minded people. This is the colourful magic she and her associates conjure at every iteration of the now renowned Croma events and exactly what she managed to convert to the exuberant mix we present here.
