‘Conscious Listening’ is a new podcast series by Pregnant Void record label that explores soundscapes born from the connection between deep ethereal music and the most advanced electronic musical experiments. For the first installment of our ‚Identity formation‘ podcast series, we have the honor to present you a carefully curated 3-h-long mix by @faruambient, one of our favorite artists. Faru is a multifaceted artist based in Berlin, known for his captivating Drone and Ambient music. His compositions are inspired by his love of nature and crafted using his field recordings of the world. Faru's music has been described as a dreamy, natural orchestra, with its focus on subtle movements, shaped noise, and harmonics of nature.

MLD No. 24 - A Tribute To Mind Over Midi

This is the 108th Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. These monthly released sessions brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. I am very excited for this months session because Karen Vogt is presenting her mix with fresh new music and  dives into atmosphere, nature, chanting and peaceful little sounds that emerge in all tracks that she selected for this occassion.

About:
Karen Vogt is an Australian artist who uses her voice primarily to create atmospheric compositions. Mostly known for her ethereal, shimmering vocals with Australian dream-pop band Heligoland, that she co-founded in 1999 (produced by Robin Guthrie). She is now based in Paris, France and composes experimental and ambient solo works based around improvisation, often manipulating her vocals to add layers of emotional depth to her works. She also has a fortnightly radio show on CAMP where she plays 2 hours of new ambient, electronic and experimental music.
Her mix for September is inspired by the shift in the weather from late Summer to early Autumn. Her intention was to create a soundtrack with which to watch the fading light and feel the temperature drop. The mix includes an exclusive unreleased track from the forthcoming Guentner | Spieth album (out on AFFIN in October) along with a selection of new releases ranging from experimental ambient to pop ambient. Some vocal ambient tracks are included with Vogt's own works, remixes of her work and her GALÁN / VOGT collaboration with Spanish composer Pepo Galán.

In this particular mix, CAMA03 explores the ambient dimension of his musical spectrum. This introspective blend features ethereal soundscapes and liquid drones, creating an ideal soundtrack for various mental journeys.

"In a heartfelt gesture, I pondered the idea of crafting a set lasting over 100 minutes, a tribute to my cherished Moroccan people. My intent is to accentuate the apex of of a cyclical odyssey, where the hidden essence of 100 echoes with the melodies of new beginnings, optimistic perspectives, and steadfast confidence."
