I live in shame, found a ladder and rose tremendously high, 

But I still couldn’t see, that I would very likely die

So the velvet taste of your skin on my mouth gives me hope

that I can endure one day at a time without dope

avaricious and heated, drinking up being queer

For the trillions of creatures who can’t pick up the phone

lovers, telemarketers, the path is disastrously known

like a train following the path through graffitied tunnels and woods

past Williamsburg and sketchy neighborhoods

How many feminists and pastors will it take
