Heute stellen wir euch Margarethe Specht vor: Nicht auf ein strenges Repertoire beschränkt, bewegt sich Margarethe Specht gekonnt in unterschiedlichen Tempi und Sphären, die sie synergetisch verschmelzen lässt und die Audience in den Bann schwingender Hi-Hats und Percussions zieht. Beheimatet in den Tiefen der Nacht ebenso wie im Dickicht des Waldes wartet der Specht mit einer facettenreichen Plattenkiste auf, aus der unermüdlich neue Funken sprühen und die diejenigen, die noch nicht tanzen, zum Schweben bringen. Als Teil des SPA Kollektivs ist sie seit ca. 3 Jahren hinter den Decks zu finden.

Not limited to a strict repertoire, Margarethe Specht skillfully moves in different tempi and spheres, which she merges synergetically and casts the audience under the spell of swinging hi-hats and percussions. At home in the depths of the night as well as in the thicket of the forest, the woodpecker awaits with a multifaceted record box from which new sparks fly tirelessly and make those who are not yet dancing levitate. As part of the SPA collective, she has been behind the decks for about 3 years.

Dying is an influential Argentine techno DJ and producer with more than 15 years of career. With strong roots in 90'/00's techno, his sound is a masterful blend of Detroit, Berlin dub and tribal beats.

He has performed in some of the most emblematic clubs in Buenos Aires, such as Cocoliche, Under Club, Bahrein and Niceto Club, sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Benjamin Damage, Tadeo, Christian Wunsch, DJ Surgeles, Philippe Petit, Seph, Jonas Kopp and Andres Zacco.

In collaboration with his partner Barakat, Dying has released four highly praised EP's on labels such as CLFT, Knotweed and Axaminer, along with remixes by the likes of Jeroen Search and Bleak. This success earned them a European tour, culminating in an impressive three-hour live set at the legendary Tresor club.

Dying's solo work is equally impressive, with major releases on labels such as Knotweed Records (France), Sungate (Spain) and Detroit Classic Gallery, showcasing his unique vision and constant sonic experimentation.

With a futuristic perspective on electronic music, Dying continues to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impact on the music scene.

//Was bedeutet deine Musik für dich?//
Zum einen fasziniert mich wie die Tracks, die ich spiele, aufgebaut sind. Ihre Struktur, der Rhythmus oder auch einfach einzelne Elemente. Zum anderen transportiert Musik für mich Emotionen und bestimmt oft meine Stimmung. Ich möchte mit meinen Sets vor allem positive Gefühle erzeugen und hoffe, dass die Menschen, die sie hören, eine gute Zeit und Bock auf Tanzen haben. 

//Woher nimmst du deine Inspiration?//
Hauptsächlich von anderen (Lieblings-)Künstler*innen. Oft suche ich bewusst nach neuer Musik und orientiere mich dabei an Artists, Labels oder Sets, die ich mag. Außerdem höre ich generell sehr viel Musik und stolpere so immer wieder über neue Tracks. Aber auch auf Events finde ich oft Musik, die ich in meine Sets einbaue.

//Was muss sich deiner Meinung nach an der Szene ändern?//
Auch wenn sich schon einiges getan hat, würde ich sagen, dass die Szene diverser und offener werden muss. Ich sehe immer noch viel zu wenig BiPoC, FLITNA* oder queere DJs hinter dem Pult oder kann Musik, die sie produzieren, kaum finden. Auch wenn bei Events auf Diversität geachtet wird, fehlt die strukturelle Ebene oder die konsequente Umsetzung von Konzepten dann leider doch zu oft und die Gestaltung der Räume wird - gern über Vitamin B - von denselben weißen cis-Dudes dominiert.
