Seismic Shift

What do the dead trees speak about? About the life and death, love and hate, happiness and pain. When the foliage has fallen and the beauty ceased to be a raison d'etre, the wisdom and knowledge are coming out at the forefront. Black trees - is starlight music that is lost among the bare branches. 
In the third Abjective's album experiences of proximity to death and the births of new life fight cyclically. The knowledge gained from the pain and triumph of rebirth heard in every note.

I did my best to think back to the BQE
Where the city skyline bathed in exhaust fumes never really bothered me
I played the album that James Mercer made before he was in The Shins
And thought about how there's no poetry in the places that I've been

And I don't need to hear that this train of thought is a fad
Because I know that
But I can't seem to handle this urge to qualify with all these double negatives
That hold me back

And so here's a promise to try and learn from my past
Because I know that
There's no shape to progress if you are only thinking pseudo-critically
And not in fact
