XYZ and When We Dip present the Selectors series, where we give our family of producers an opportunity to display their prowess behind the decks. Expect unreleased material from across the label collective, as well as classic gems and heady grooves from some of the undergrounds finest heads.

We head to France, by way of Amsterdam, for the latest edition of Selectors. Margee certainly caught many-a-ear with his debut appearance on TOR - the sumptuous Plantalk EP. His mastery of low-slung groove and heady hooks makes for thoroughly enjoyable listening, and those same attributes prove a mainstay in his deck-work as well.  He recently released a single, 'Something Beautiful', with Appolonie.  We are blessed to have Margee back for the Selectors Series once again.

XYZ Selectors 092 - Margee

For Viscera 106, we welcome Balam to the series with live recording at Artlab. The recording sees Balam play alongside Pablo Harymbat & Andy Menutti at his own club night, Club del Ritmo.

"Balam is a musician, producer and DJ from Buenos Aires, Argentina, focusing on electronic music and world music, combining modular and analog synthesizers with real and weird percussion sounds creating a unique atmosphere making every track an acid and psychedelic voyage through Latin-American nature and culture."

With the above in mind, this has seen Balam's releases land on labels that include Multi Culti, Pets Records, Get Physical, Hard Fist and more, and we're delighted to have him involved for the next mix in the series.

Goldie Palm's journey into the realm of music reflects a profound love for vocals, rhythm and beats that ignited her passion for DJing. Born from an early admiration for music's captivating power, her story began amidst the pulsating heart of Berlin's club scene.

Her enthusiasm for music found a home in 2020 in her very own radio show, "Palm Paradise", which is broadcasted by RBL Berlin. Meanwhile, she found her residence, as well as gratefully a place within the local scene, in Leipzig. 

With a sound that encapsulates the essence of House while embracing a strong influence from the 90s - the era of her childhood, her sets resonate with heavy bass lines, strong vocals and touches of acid, synth wave, and indie dance.

It debuts some tracks set to release on my new imprint 99FVR launching in March, alongside my favorite sounds of the moment. When recording the mix, I had a moment of overwhelming emotion, ruminating around the feeling that never quite leaves me "happy about feeling sad".  The two hours twist and turn through multiple genres, yet at the heart of the mix - forever a deep, feverish, and driving pulse.  This is what 99FVR is about and it will be the home of my 5th EP "SNAFU".

Kate’s dynamic and fun approach to soundscapes in full bloom - unafraid of taking risks, she draws deep appreciation from post punk, minimal wave, neu-rave and chuggy house music.

Known for her hypnotic rhythms, driving percussion, and arcane melodies - Kate has released on labels including TAU, Rotten City Records, Roam, and Playground.  2024 is set to be a big year for Kate, with the launch of her own label 99FVR.  The offbeat and indie driven imprint will kick off with her 5th EP “SNAFU” in April (with remixes from Mala Ika and Neu Romancer + Radondo).
