This month we welcome Tokyo-based electronic sound artist and lyricist, Yumi Iwaki.

Yumi is an extraordinary talent, who layers her voice, acoustic instruments, field recordings, modular synthesisers, and small synthesisers, as if travelling through an imagined landscape.

Her mix takes us through a selection of music she likes to listen to when she wants to relax, but at the same time add something spicy. The flow of sounds take her to different places while in a daze.

"However today’s mind-heart-soul crushing violence in the streets or vapid cultural lacquer that distracts and divides may make it seem, we’re fortunate when we’re surrounded by others who are equally passionate about initiating and participating in sustainable, creative communities.
