Swedish duo Blind Lake drops the first single from their sophomore album “Streetlife”.
“Drunken dream” is a spectral walk through empty rooms on well-worn plastic carpets. “Seven days on a dusty trail. Going upstairs to smell her pillow.” Nadia Hamouchis desolate trumpet stirs up the dust of closed rooms, the monotonous synth-bass is the skeleton that won´t break & the intertwined vocals presents a well-visited dream of love and obsession. In the bridge, the duo joins Burt Bacharach, who stretches after David Bowie who, in turn, falls into Michelle Gurevics lap. Together, they lead Blind Lake out of the darkness.
