This is the recording of the set I played for @pauli-pocket and @Foolik's event at Kater Blau on October 22nd 2023, 0-3 am, Heinz Hopper.

I think this might have been my favorite club party gig in 2023. What a boiling sauna experience! Thanks to my support crew for eagerly providing me with some handmade air during my set. :D

So here you go, 3 hours of "Fool and the Gang meets Pocket's Rockets".

This is a very late tribute to the 2023, long after the days of this past memorable year are numbered. Maybe, it took so long for me to upload this set because I was busy, maybe because it was harder to say goodbye than expected. To finally do so, I would like to share this recording with you guys, which was played at @suedpol-hamburg on Dec. 16th. 2023. "Trio Infernale" refers to my two very dear friends and me, who accompanied me.

Being one of the first electronic night clubs, I have ever visited, it means the world to me that I got the opportunity to debut in the holy halls of Südpol in 2023. THANK YOU so much for the invitation!!! For me, this venue has somehow managed to not only maintain its attraction to a vibrant & colorful crowd, but thereby also its unique vibe, I fell in love with years ago. 

About last year:
Let’s be honest... I didn’t feel too nostalgic about 2023 coming to an end since it has been a non-stop freaking hassle, - serving challenge after challenge with little to no time for rest & recreation. 

It was the year, I found myself struggling at various tasks/ areas in life, leaving me to feel lonely & insecure at times. It‘s been the year, my organization skills oscillated between catastrophic & respectable, resulting in me finally achieving an additional degree, a lifelong appointment in my academic career & taking over new responsibilities for my @afterhour-sounds family.
It was the year, I got the chance to debut at Fusion & Fiasco Festival, Kater Blau & Mensch Meier, I travelled to Jordan & Oslo, only to name a few amazing venues/ places, I‘ve been lucky enough to visit/ perform at. 
It’s was the year, I spend 316 hours on trains or /and got stranded somehere on the way. And finally, it was the year of goodbyes & new beginnings, of leaving my old home & stumbling upon a new one - shattering my future plans to make room for new adventures. 

Though, that’s okay because DJing, or music in general, is remaining the one passion in my life, that will always be there, in which I find comfort whenever it’s needed & that nobody can take away from me. But equally important is that this love has lead me to (re-)meet inspiring people, old & new ones, many of which have remained or grown close friends. 

So, thanks to all my dearest companions for your love, support & patience with me - I can’t wait to embark on the Expedition 2024, hopefully at some point towards Südpol again 🔬💥🔭

Here’s the recording of my set – played Saturday afternoon between 16-18.

Nach 3 Tagen Verarbeitung befinden wir uns noch immer auf Wolke 7 gefüllt mit Flashbacks und absoluten Glücksgefühlen, finden aber so langsam wieder Worte, um das letzte Wochenende zu beschreiben. 

Abgesehen von dem Dielenboden in unserer Wohnung - der deutlich weniger kaugummiverklebt ist - haben wir auf keinen anderen Holzbrettern so viele Emotionen erlebt wie im Hopper. Insofern war es für uns eine absolute Herzensangelegenheit, ein Mal dort Reiseleiter zu spielen, um etwas von dem zurückzugeben, was wir dort über Jahre erlebt haben. Ein Mal die eigene Energie mitgeben…

Als die überraschende Anfrage von Mona kam, genau an diesem Ort zu unserer liebsten Zeit - Sonntag von 8-11 Uhr morgens - zu spielen, saß der Schock im positiven Sinne groß. Dann noch auf der Enorm in Form….
Wir waren gerade dabei, erstmal von bestimmen Dingen Abschied zu nehmen, um uns ganz auf einen neuen, abenteuerlichen Zustand einzustellen 🤰🏼 erwiesen uns aber als sehr flexibel 😼 und widmeten uns dankend sowie ausgiebig der Setvorbereitung. 

Die Euphorie auf den Sonntagmorgen wurde am Vorabend durch das Artist Dinner mit tollen Menschen auf der Terrasse vom FAME so weit gesteigert, dass wir in der Nacht kein Auge zu machen konnten. Insofern konnten wir unsere Euphorie und positive Energie kurz vor Beginn des Sets leider nicht wie gewünscht abrufen. Das änderte sich aber schlagartig im Hopper. Von der ersten Sekunde an, konnten wir genießen. Die Freude und die Energie wurden jedes Mal größer, wenn wir einen Blick auf die Uhr und das Publikum warfen. Niemals hatten wir bis zum Schluss mit einem so vollen Hopper gerechnet. Wir fragten uns eher vorab, ob wir den ein anderen Track spielen würden, weil der auf einem leeren Hopper ggf. eher verloren wirkt. Gleichzeitig hatten wir aber unsere Hopper-Tracks zum Teil über Jahre gesammelt und wollten ihnen ihren Raum geben. 

Dass die Stimmung und die Energie an dem Morgen schließlich so unvergesslich wurden, lag letztlich an all den Leuten auf dem Floor. Ihr habt unseren Traum in der Realität noch getoppt. Wir danken euch so sehr, dass wir euch auf unser morgendliches Intervalltraining mitnehmen durften. Insofern galten die finalen Freudentränen in erster Linie euch und eurer Resonanz ❤️🙏🏼🥹

Abschließend an dieser Stelle nochmal riesiges Dankeschön an Mona und Marco aka Stan Starry. Für euch als Menschen, euer Vertrauen in uns und für die Organisation dieser etablierten Wahnsinnsparty mit jeder Menge Liebe zum Detail und Vitamin B.
