Giving ourselves to the Lord isn't a one time matter. Perhaps we had given ourselves to Him in the past, but then, the Lord wants us to give ourselves to Him afresh everyday. 
Consecration is knowing that you're not for your self, for the world or for anyone. You are His because He bought You with a great price. 

You are His and His forever.
