Korg MS20 mini + external LFO + pedals (reverbs, delays, overdrive, phaser). Cracking sounds are desired - it's a white noise trigerred randomly (by pink noise converted to voltage) with super short envelope and attack. At first it's just plain Korg MS20mini playing with only some external LFO borrowing, but then I add some effects (reverb, then stereo reversed delay, then shimmer reverb, space echo, overdrive and finally a phaser).
