WDDS (pronounced 'Woods') returns with his first works of 2023; four, cold, moody, captivating, atmospheric dubstep tracks following a suit of releases on his label Hectare Discs and a stand-out jungle track on EMA's Woozy 2.5 compilation.

The Mancunian draws a wide range of influences, spanning cinematic techno and contemporary film scores, already perking the ears of honourable selectors such as Jossy Mitsu, Mixtress and Mantra.

'Rough Peak' is glitchy and eerie, complimented by a warping baseline and a sinister drone that slowly builds into a peak-time driver.

It was the small, subtle details which made all the difference. Those little flairs and flurries at the end of each serif soaked letter which oozed with class and style. Reading from the old parchment he assessed the stories, wondered what they meant and drifted off to a time long ago when the world was free.

He dreamed of sun kissed valleys, green fields and wild animals which roamed and wandered without care. He dreamed of the clouds as they passed slowly above creating a lifestyle of delicate shadows and glimmering rivers down below. He watched as the sun hit the face of each mountain in the warmth of the morning glow.

Then he returned to the paper, began to read on, as he watched the story unfold…

Blank Patrick is set to release a stunner of a two track EP on SLG International – a euphoric flurry of scattered synths, wandering percussion and goosebump moments. This one comes highly recommended.

Uneven is a Bristol-based producer and DJ who has been contributing wholeheartedly to the autonomic sound for years. His debut on Defrostatica is marked by three tunes that build on his reputation and offer a vanguard perspective that works in a club environment. Kokeshi label owner Alley Cat didn't hold back with her unapologetic take on the overall gritty sound of the Density EP. Her remix of the title track is a remarkable dystopian procession.

DRX004 marks a new direction for label head Doctor Jeep’s musical journey, this time exploring the sonic possibilities of slowwwww bass music. “Snake Eyes” twists a Baile Funk beatbox sample into a robotic earworm, while “Pax” channels pitched-down electro and the sludgy hybrid sounds coming out of Bristol. “The Hypnotist” closes out the EP as a psychedelic dancehall mutation perfect for those late, late nights.

De Marseille sur Tikka Radio à Bruxelles sur Radio Vacarme, elle fait résonner des sonorités breakés, électro, tantôt planantes, tantôt brutales. Digé M0m0, c’est un style éclectique et hétéroclite qui n’a qu’un seul objectif : faire du dancefloor un laboratoire des possibles.
