At his core, Melbourne-based producer, DJ and funk synthesist Harvey Sutherland, real name Mike Katz, is an innovator of the finest sorts. Having worked his way up through the ranks in Australia's underground electronic scene, Katz turned his feelings of disconnect with modern dance music into an opportunity to create a sound of his own: one rooted in soul, disco and funk but with a refreshingly modern spin.

The producer has gone on to make waves around the world with a selection of EPs, garnering support from the likes of Jamie xx, Disclosure and more. In this time, Katz also spread his wings as a bandleader, touring internationally with his live ensemble and directing an 11-piece band for the New York boogie icon Leroy Burgess on his Australian tour.

In line with the release of Harvey's latest single 'Feeling Of Love', and the announcement of his debut album 'Boy', the producer has helmed the latest Dummy Mix in our series. Speaking about his selections, Harvey says: "Made a mixtape of origin-story funk. Mondo classics, blog jams, album sides, no rare shit, no edits, just uncut gems. RIP James M’tume."

Known in the scene for his love of all things vinyl, South London selector and dubplate tastemaker Riz La Teef knows a thing or two about orchestrating a dance floor. As well as stacking up an impressive portfolio of mixes on platforms such as Rinse FM, BBC 1xtra, NTS and more, rising up through the UK underground scene to become one of the capital's most prolific disc jockeys, Riz also heads the exciting South London Pressings record label, breaking talents such as Y U QT, DJ Crisps and Nitework. With the acetate specialist poised to takeover Outlook Festival next week, his Dummy Mix is a non-stop journey through UK rave history, traversing the worlds of garage, jungle, drum 'n' bass and beyond.

Often pictured facing away from the camera or hiding behind her bubblegum pink aesthetic, niina is part of a new, youthful and imaginative generation of cross-over dance acts putting their music first. Opting to write, produce and direct all of the work she puts out, it's no surprise that this one-woman project is turning heads across the industry, earning supporters in taste-makers such as The Blessed Madonna as well as hitting number 1 spot on Spotify's popular Planet Rave playlist with her hit single 'miss u'.

Existing in the same sonic lane as her peers Logic1000, Elkka, TSHA or Jayda G, the fast-rising talent is the latest to helm a mix for Dummy. "I based the sonics of this mix off of music I feel connects to my latest single 'everythings gunna be alright, niina said so' in some way," she says. "I went for tracks that I felt mostly had that carefree fun vibe to it, going a bit dreamier in places but always coming back to something a bit tongue-in-cheek that makes you wanna dance."
