ITALIANO:

Mariano Di Stefano, chitarrista, nasce ad Enna (Sicilia) il 30 maggio del 1983. All'età di nove anni inizia a studiare chitarra classica sotto la guida del M° Massimiliano Campisi fino ai quindici anni, periodo durante il quale riesce a vincere numerosi premi individuali e menzioni d'onore in tanti concorsi musicali.
Successivamente frequenta un corso di chitarra flamenca della durata di due anni col M° Agatino Scuderi (allievo del grande Alirio Diaz) per poi iscriversi all'Accademia Musicale Siciliana "Enzo Randisi" di Piazza Armerina dove, sotto la guida del
M° Giuseppe Mirabella (chitarra) e del M° Giovanni Mazzarino (armonia), si approccia al Jazz e a tutto un mondo musicale completamente diverso da quello a cui era abituato prima.
Affascinato ed impressionato dal grande chitarrista Tuck Andress, inizia a studiare la tecnica del fingerstyle e a integrarla al suo stile chitarristico.
Contemporaneamente si avvicina alla musica latina e soprattutto brasiliana e ne nasce un amore che ancora oggi è indissolubile.
Così inizia a specializzarsi nella tecnica chitarristica della Bossa Nova e del Samba e a esibirsi con diverse formazioni con questo genere musicale.
Studia chitarra classica presso il Conservatorio Statale di Musica “Vincenzo Bellini” di Caltanissetta con alcuni grandi maestri tra i quali Gian Marco Ciampa e Renato Pace, ed insegna da tanti anni chitarra classica e brasiliana in varie scuole e privatamente.
Ha avuto numerosi progetti con formazioni diverse tra cui:
-	 "Bossa Nostra Trio" (Bossa Nova, Samba e Latin Jazz) con Jossy Botte (Sax), Mariano Di Stefano (Chitarra) e Giuseppe Provitina (Batteria);
-	 "Ascoltango" (Tango argentino) con Luca Gentile (Flauto) e Mariano Di Stefano (Chitarra);
-	 “Nova Res” (Classica) con Giuseppe Cammarata (Basso elettrico) e Davide Campisi (Percussioni).
Attualmente svolge un'intensa attività concertistica con i "Chivas Quartet" dove si diverte a suonare un po’ di tutto (Funk, Reggae, Samba, Rocksteady, Swing, Rock, Disco) con Francesca Bongiovanni (Voce), Mariano Di Stefano (Chitarre), Giuseppe Cammarata (Basso) e Salvatore Lo Verde (Batteria e Percussioni).
Collabora inoltre col cantautore e percussionista Davide Campisi accompagnandolo in diversi concerti in tutta Italia.

Mariano Di Stefano, guitarist, was born in Enna, Sicily, on May 30, 1983. At the age of nine he began studying classical guitar under the guidance of M° Massimiliano Campisi until the age of fifteen, a period during which he managed to win numerous individual awards and honorable mentions in many music competitions.
He then attended a two-year flamenco guitar course with M° Agatino Scuderi (a pupil of the great Alirio Diaz) and then enrolled at the Accademia Musicale Siciliana "Enzo Randisi" in Piazza Armerina where, under the guidance of M° Giuseppe Mirabella (guitar) and M° Giovanni Mazzarino (harmony), he approached Jazz and a whole world of music completely different from what he was used to before.
Fascinated and impressed by the great guitarist Tuck Andress, he began to study fingerstyle technique and integrate it into his guitar style.
At the same time he approached Latin and especially Brazilian music, and a love was born that is still unbreakable today.
Thus he began specializing in the guitar technique of Bossa Nova and Samba and performing with different ensembles with this musical genre.
He studied classical guitar at the State Conservatory of Music "Vincenzo Bellini" in Caltanissetta with some great teachers including Gian Marco Ciampa and Renato Pace, and has been teaching Classical and Brazilian guitar for many years in various schools and privately.
He has had numerous projects with different formations including:
- "Bossa Nostra Trio" (Bossa Nova, Samba and Latin Jazz) with Jossy Botte (Sax), Mariano Di Stefano (Guitar) and Giuseppe Provitina (Drums);
- "Ascoltango" (Argentine Tango) with Luca Gentile (Flute) and Mariano Di Stefano (Guitar);
- "Nova Res" (Classical) with Giuseppe Cammarata (Electric bass) and Davide Campisi (Percussion).
He currently has an intense concert activity with the "Chivas Quartet" where he enjoys playing a little bit of everything (Funk, Reggae, Samba, Rocksteady, Swing, Rock, Disco) with Francesca Bongiovanni (Voice), Mariano Di Stefano (Guitars), Giuseppe Cammarata (Bass) and Salvatore Lo Verde (Drums and Percussion).
He also collaborates with the singer-songwriter and percussionist Davide Campisi accompanying him in several concerts throughout Italy.
