Mariaxirick Mix Febrero 2018

Mariaxibit is a band based in Mexico City, that started as a side project for two professional musicians, Ricardo Galván and Jordi Arán Méndez. Soon after the first composition came out, Ricardo and Jordi knew they were onto something special. At the end of 2012, they had finished the first part of the album and decided to dedicate the whole of 2013 for its completion, which then was mastered by Bob Katz. Since then, the project has developed successfully; signing with EMPO/MAS Label in 2014; and airing on radio stations all around the country by November of the same year. Mariaxibit has been steadily increasing in popularity - at such a rate, it is expected that the band will be topping the mexican charts with their first single,  ́Boyfriend from Mexico ́, by February 2015.
The music is a mix of electronic European sounds with Mexican idiosyncrasy, making it culturally rich with folklore presence in the lyrics.  ́Spanglish ́, a mix of spanish and english, is the primary language used, and the aim is to make people dance and fiesta as only Mexicans can (for the entire duration of the show - anywhere from forty to ninety minutes).
