These recordings, which Tcha has dedicated to his father Manitas de Plata, present the main themes and rhythms of the flamenco gypsies' folklore. 
There is a mixture of despairing sadness and explosive power in these songs and accompanied by the magically captivating sound of the guitar, the singer's wonderfully expressive and sensitive voice discloses to us melancholy and proud heart of gypsy. 
This is flamenco "which really gets under your skin", a genuine expression indeed of love and death, but still remaining true to the pure "Cante jondo" tradition so appreciated by the most demanding lover of flamenco.

Ces enregistrements, que Tcha a dédiés à son père Manitas de Plata, présentent les principaux thèmes et rythmes traditionnels gitans.
Il y a un mélange de tristesse désespérée et de puissance explosive dans ces chants accompagnés par le son captivant et magique de la guitare, la voix merveilleusement expressive et sensible du chanteur nous dévoile un cœur de gitan mélancolique et fier.
C'est du flamenco «celui qui vous rentre vraiment sous la peau», l'expression véritable de l'amour et de la mort, restant fidèle au pur «Cante jondo» tant apprécié par l'amateur de flamenco le plus exigeant.

8th piece from "Gods are Angry" album (Made to Measure-Crammed discs, 1995) this psychedelic walz was originally composed for the eponym contemporary dance show by Lattuada's company in 1989.
Zelwer marries as usual deep melodies and themes muddled in contrapuntal polyphonies using strange instruments (or not) : Here turkeys and chickens answer the mirliton, cimbaloms, soprano saxophones, muted trumpet, dynamic bass drum in a flight of poetry the mysticism of which we can place only in the edge of the layman

Simplicissimus

Live duet version with Nuria Rovira Salat (voice), Jean-Marc Zelwer (voice, accordion) on 2015 November 14th in CCJB (Centre Culturel Jacques Brel, Villebon sur Yvette, France)played in L'Orchestrano concert.
"Obradovia" is a song originally written by Zelwer in 2010 for "Tzigane Imaginaire" creation in théâtre de Suresnes Jean Vilar.

This original composition by Jean-Marc Zelwer was recorded live on november 14th 2015 at CCJB (Centre Culturel Jacques Brel) Villebon sur Yvette, France, by Frédéric Dalila.
On this "Joyful complaint", Zelwer plays successively indian santur, bas guitar, bone flûte & gypsie guitar, while recording each pattern by using a loop station pedal controller. 

L'Orchestrano is a creation involving Jean-Marc Zelwer playing more than 13 instruments on stage, Nuria Rovira Salat, voice & dance, Fédéric Dalila, sound.
Duration : 45mn+ 30mn talk with the public & explaination about rare instruments.

In memoriam Hippolyte Baliardo qui nous quittait à l'âge de 80 ans, le 27 mai 2009 à 20h.30, il y a déjà huit ans aujourd'hui, une homme de cœur, un grand Monsieur, n'oublions pas!

Dans les beaux quartiers parisiens, un cordonnier occupe un cabanon de 2m3 qui borde l'entrée des bureaux de la maison Chanel. Implanté ici depuis 40 ans, ce libanais d'origine arménienne s'est construit un personnage devenu incontournable dans le quartier : réparateur de chaussures oui, mais surtout grand blagueur, et qui aime par dessus tout raconter des histoires à ses visiteurs...

Une réalisation sonore de Laura Mathon effectuée lors du stage         « initiation artistique et technique à la réalisation sonore », avec Arnaud Forest du 17 au 20 décembre 2019 à Paris.
