Beautiful song - nice job. Coincidentally, I have just finished a song of the same name - I'm working on an orchestral accompaniment for it. Mine takes a more literal approach - modeled after the German video posted on YouTube. Thanks for posting this.

FAWM 2021 collaboration with Chris Brown of Hazeyjane.

Marieke: I heard this beautiful story of The Wind Telephone in Japan. A phone booth where people from all over the country come and talk to their lost loved ones. The phone is not connected to anywhere but it has become a way for people to maintain a relationship with someone they can no longer speak to in real life. It felt like a beautiful thing to write a song about.

I wanted it to have a "floaty" feeling that mirrored the idea of words being carried on the wind, but I didn't know how to come up with that sound. And I was missing a verse as well. So I asked Chris, aka @hazeyjane to help me. I knew he'd come up with the goods (and the extra verse). The production is all his and it is lovely. We are going to work on this some more after FAWM but for now, I am so pleased with it. Might try to add a verse in Japanese.
