This 'place' can be a room, a field, an old cassette tape, etc. I think that attempting to capture the mood of a specific setting can give my songs a certain quality or atmosphere, and can help me choose sounds that will work well for the track. I will keep the inspiration for this song to myself, but I hope it takes u somewhere that means something to u :)"

note from ryan: "Lucas is a Seattle boy who gives equal attention to sounds, melodies and rhythm. His sounds range from crickets to video game SFX; melodies are jazzy but as full of emotion as something from Shlohmo... or emo Blink 182 era; but his drums kind of beat you to a pulp. I think he's really part of this next movement that's going to be run by producers who grew up caring more about rock and R&B than dance music."

note from ryan: "dd elle songs are these strangely lovely calculated moody messes. they're full of synth tones that rarely get matched with the types of melodies he plays; the vocals are alien and so unexpectedly placed they're almost jarring at times; and the use of space and silence is always an aural treat. he's kind of jai paul level of ~mystery~ and talent, i think. dig in and use headphones."

MB is such a strong example of what i've been seeing as the next evolution of the producer -- morphing into the singer-songwriter. it's really all coming full circle. these are kids who grew up learning guitar, drums, and then naturally just relying on computers. but that cycle is coming back around again. the producer - not even the *DJ* now - but the sitting-in-their-mom's-basement producer is comfortable being the frontman; singing, writing real songs about real things. moon bounce is like a secret weapon within this new movement, but he probably won't be secret for much longer."

Moon Boots' remix was mysteriously featured in The Magician's Magic Tape 49 as well as his own Reboot Mix last month, and was officially premiered via THUMP. 

'Talk Talk' is the lead track from George Maple's 'Vacant Space' EP, out now via iTunes (smarturl.it/GeorgeMaple) and on a limited edition white 12" vinyl (smarturl.it/GeorgeMapleVinyl). The 'Talk Talk' (Digital Remix Bundle) will be released early March 2015.
