We're thrilled to present Camel Riders Records new release titled 'Minayo' by the French-Moroccan-based producers Sound of Mint, incl. remixes by DIBIDABO, Yamagucci, Feller, Salmani, Carla Valenti. The Live electronic musicians and producers Sound Of Mint are serving us in their debut EP on Camel RIders, three colorful and mesmerizing originals: 'Sama Bena' and 'Minayo' featuring the exceptional Kora player from Senegal, Mbemba Diebate, in addition to the EP theme track 'Kolinga'. Sound Of Mint's originals navigate through the vast landscapes of West Africa, creating an impeccable fusion of traditional instruments and rhythms, epic vocals, and organic elements which are all coated with fine electronic melodies and beats, suited for a wide range of moods and settings. First, we have 'Sama Bena' and 'Minayo' which both display an uplifting and warm atmosphere, combining divine Kora sounds, hypnotizing vocals, and captivating melodies with fine electronic sounds. The third original by Sound Of Mint is 'Kolinga', the EP theme track which combines funky traditional melodies, Guitars, organic percussions, wooden sounds, synths, and intoxicating tribal vocal fragments, which create all together with a fresh World Music Bluesy tune. On remix duty, we have the pleasure to welcome the Russian producer DIBIDABO and the Tel Aviv-based producer Salmani, with their debut on Camel Riders. In addition, we are thrilled to have back on our label the Japanese-Israeli producer Yamagucci, Feller from Beit Oren, and Carla Valenti from Chile. This talented team of remixers, catapult the originals to the heart of the dance floor, with a wide range of thrilling electronic sounds which vary from Slow Tech to Organic & Deep House, infusing pounding melodies, acidic elements, and fresh profound beats. We couldn't pass the beauty of 'Heart Signs' track by dOP we released recently on vinyl and digital, so that's how we had the idea to implement more versions into this dramatic composition.
Israel producer Chaim, the artist of such notable labels as Bpitch, Rumors, Visionquest, as well as his recently launched Blue Shadow imprint, has always been known (for us and the world) for his signature sound at a rich and varied range in full.His remix of 'Heart Signs' is a great interpretation of the original; with great repetitive sharp synthesizers leads, crunchy percussions and mystic delayed Jaw's vocals it gives a feeling of the abrupt and unexpected approach to it's sound.
Needless to write a lot about Tiefschwarz, as it's pretty much known for guys brilliant music. With more than two decades of the duo career, releasing multiple records with Watergate Records, Get Physical, Compost, Dessous, Cocoon, Bedrock, Mobilee, as well successfully A&Ring their influential Souvenir label, Ali & Basti have followed their own path of musical brilliance. Their remix of 'Heart Signs' is accentuating the thoughtful mood of the original, taking the main elements of the track: vocals and the piano touches, wrapping them into dark techno shell.
Two different mixes have said it enough about the track, so we hope you'll be as much happy, as we are with this release.
