 Over time I discovered that perfection is the best thing I can do at the moment, with the resources I have available, and the most important thing: the enjoyment of the process. This is the second music I have produced at home with Ableton Live, vocals and instruments. Between this and the first there is a huge leap, quantum I would say. Here I am still in my self-teaching process, pressing buttons and learning every day. And how happy I am, with this perfect imperfection.

 Con el tiempo fui descubriendo que la  perfección es lo mejor que puedo hacer en el momento, con los recursos que tengo disponibles, y lo más importante: el goce del proceso.  Esta es la segunda música que produzco en casa con el Ableton Live, voz e instrumentos. Entre esta y la primera hay un salto enorme, cuántico diría yo. Aquí sigo en mi proceso auto didacta, tocando botones y aprendiendo cada día.  Y que feliz Soy, con esta perfecta imperfección.

Com o tempo descobri que perfeição é a melhor coisa que posso fazer no momento, com os recursos que tenho à disposição, e o mais importante: aproveitar o processo. Esta é a segunda música que produzo em casa com Ableton Live, vocais e instrumentos. Entre esta e a primeira há um salto enorme, quântico diria. Aqui estou eu, no processo de autodidatismo, apertando botões e aprendendo todos os dias. E como sou feliz, com esta imperfeição perfeita.

El Camino de Leda Remixes Vol.1 y Vol.2
The new collaborative release between Folcore Records (Barcelona) and Fértil Discos (Buenos Aires)

A double album made up of remixes of the vinyl released in 2019 "El Camino de Leda" that featured the participation of Chancha Via Circuito, La Charo, Uji, Shaman Herrera, Tremor, Barda, El Remolón, Soema Montenegro, Dat García, King Coya , Pol Nada and more representatives, both of the organic electronic sound of Buenos Aires and singers of contemporary Argentine folk and urban music.

This time, artists from different latitudes remix the tracks of the original ones to create new sounds in song format, to make them suitable for the dance floor in slow mode and also to listening them on any occasion. It has the participation of Klik & Frik, Rodrigo Gallardo, Guazú, Derrok, Tribilin Sound, Carla Valenti, Qechuaboi, Lucas Lead, Mente Orgánica, Nixtamal just to mention some of the collaborations.

El Camino de Leda Remixes Vol.1 and Vol.2 is a new tribute to Leda Valladares, two volumes that include 10 songs each. Available on all streaming platforms.

El nuevo lanzamiento colaborativo entre los sellos Folcore Records (Barcelona) y Fértil Discos (Buenos Aires) Un disco doble compuesto por remixes del disco editado en 2019 El Camino de Leda que contó con la participación de Chancha Via Circuito, La Charo, Uji, Shaman Herrera, Tremor, Barda, El Remolón, Dat García, Soema Montenegro, King Coya, Pol Nada y más representantes, tanto del sonido electrónico orgánico de Buenos Aires como cantantes de la música folklorica y urbana  contemporánea argentina.

En esta ocasión, artistas de diferentes latitudes remezclan las pistas de los tracks originales para crear nuevas sonoridades en formato de canciones, tan aptas para la pista de baile en modo slow como para su escucha en cualquier ocasión. It is with great delight to present this heartfelt work from Iris da Selva,
a hidden treasure from Belem. In a special collaboration with Peter Power, immersing Iris's compositions in an ephemeral, ambient landscape.

On this Ep; 'Zelo' meaning; Care, Iris reflects with melancholic contemplation a deep yearning for human connection with the natural world. This sentiment echoed In 'Sincronia' with the urge to synchronise one's body with nature and learning to care for this greater body as our own.

In 'Natureza Mãe' Iris sings with tender honesty, a wish to speak to one's mother about their deep inner feelings for mother nature.

Iris is a non-binary, trans artist from the Amazon. Born in Belém the capital of Para. Mixing musical influences of MPB (Musica Popular Brasileiro) with strong elements of Carimbó, Iris explores the enchanting sensitivity and strength of water in his musical poetry. Spirituality is the guiding element and each composition seeks to unveil everyday life, presenting to the world a perception of the liminal delicacy of life.

Shika Shika is proud to present Campo de Cielo, a collaboration between Coro Qom Chelaalapi and producer Lagartijeando. The release celebrates the 60th anniversary of the indigenous choir from Northwest Argentina, making it the longest-running continuously active musical group in Latin America. 

Following their first release together in 2019, Campo del Cielo marks the second collaboration between the choir and producer Matias Zundel. The EP offers 3 tracks produced by Lagartijeando that experiment with Qom traditional sounds within the context of organic electronic downtempo. To complement this, Campo del Cielo includes 3 original unedited recordings of Coro Qom Chelaalapi, recorded by Lagartijeando in Resistencia, Chaco. 

About Campo del Cielo: 
Campo del Cielo (Field of the Sky) refers to a vast region of northern Argentina located in the Southern Chaco, bordering the provinces of Chaco y Santiago del Estero, that was struck by an iron meteor shower approximately 4000 years ago - the results of an asteroid exploding upon entering the Earth’s atmosphere. 

Qom mythology considers the "rocks" (aerolites) to have been drops of sweat from the sun; they were worshiped as such...  more

We celebrate two years of Shika Shika with the release of our third compilation: Eco. 

Eco sums up what Shika Shika is about - the global reverberations of styles, genres, traditions and sounds moving around the world and fusing to create inspiring new music. We call it music without borders and on Eco we present 11 tracks that are exactly that. 

The tracks we hand-picked for Eco draw inspiration from traditional rhythms, stories and melodies and fuse them with individual inspirations, sounds from nature and electronic music. This is exemplified on Di Laif’s anthemic opener “Paso Por el Fuego” or Guazú’s incredible “Pava de Monte” featuring Wenceslada. Some artists like Jin Jerei and Oxhalá take us on a journey deep into their roots while others like Didacte and O.R. create atmospheric textural, electronic-organic soundscapes. Ibu Selva’s “Chega de Esperar” is a rework of a Brazilian agrarian reform anthem while Klik & Frik offer up a beautiful edit of Hassan Ben Jaafar, a master of Moroccan Gnawa music. 

It is hard to believe it has been two years since Shika Shika was started as a platform to showcase some of the music we truly loved from the thriving community from Sao Paulo to Seoul. Two years of connections, exchanges, ideas, new sounds and, most of all, incredible support and feedback from the people who listen & buy this music all over the world. We started Shika Shika as a way to give exposure and support to this community, sharing 70% of all the profits with the artists directly, and are inspired to continue pushing the music we love.

Artist Bio 

The young producer, Joseph DeFaria (J•POOL), originally from the south of Canada, has been living a nomadic lifestyle for most of his adult life. Working in the forests of Canada in the summers as a tree planter, and traveling the rest of the year, Joe started his project "J•POOL" with the goal of creating music that is inspired by the many different natural environments in which he spends his life.  His intention is to produce music that will make people move and feel the connection to their innerself and the world around them.  He writes his music as he travels, finding inspiration in the feelings that arise from the unique energy present in each new location he experiences . The sound of J•POOL represents a journey through the infinite universe within as well as the unfathomably complex physical world in which our lives are manifest. 

The song "Selva" was written while I was exploring the jungles and diverse biospheres of Mexico and Central America.  My hope with this song was to capture a part of the magic the exists in those incredibly mystical lands, and translate it into something that will make people feel in touch with their more primal spiritual nature.

Last december 2019 while on tour in Norway, in one visit to my brother Julius in the middle of the forest where they have this beautiful place with Permaculture, arts Projects and Home; we get inspired by his little pewen trees (araucaria) wich this seeds he bring from Patagonia where this tree is origin.
Sacred for Mapuche, Pehuenche and Tehuelche cultures; is one specie in danger because of the forestal companys that destroy the local species to make paper and wood.
we start to make shaker with the seeds and then play some music all together with Rokaya and Xola..then "araucaria" come.
same month later in Berlin after playing together a showcase with my brother Rodrigo Gallardo, we meet at Organic Studio and we record beautiful quenas and charangos for couple of songs include "Araucaria".
full respect and honor to see this sacred Pehuen growing in far north.

El pasado diciembre de 2019 en tour por Noruega, en una visita a mi hermano Julius en medio del bosque donde tienen este hermoso lugar con Permacultura, Proyectos artísticos y Hogar; Nos inspiramos en sus pequeños árboles de pewen (araucaria) que trae estas semillas de la Patagonia donde se origina este árbol.
Sagrado para las culturas mapuche, pehuenche y tehuelche; Es una especie en peligro debido a las empresas forestales que destruyen las especies locales para hacer papel y madera.
comenzamos a hacer una coctelera con las semillas y luego tocamos música junto con Rokaya y Xola ... luego viene la "araucaria".
El mismo mes después, en Berlín, después de tocar juntos en un escaparate con mi hermano Rodrigo Gallardo, nos encontramos en Organic Studio y grabamos hermosas quenas y charangos para un par de canciones que incluyen "Araucaria".
Respeto y honor completos al ver a este sagrado Pehuen creciendo en el extremo norte.

Marina uses music as  a bridge, a channel to find  harmony and personal growth. Sing and dance to the earth, dreams, elementals, love and  sadness of the world.
She was born in Brazil, in a house where music abounds. From this experience comes her  love for harmony and breeding.
In love whith what she do, participate in music projects in Brazil (Dupla caipira de Reggae e Wahine Duo), appearing in events such as "SP na Rua" and locally as Estúdio lâmina and Casa Jaya, Voodoohop also in SP.
Now she mix her music influences, making a fusion whith folklore and ancestral cultures sounds,  whith  multiculture organic electronic music.
Gives a voice that can be twelve and strong at the same time, write whith heart and soul , providing beautiful sound travels with experiments and various instruments.
She lives here and not Uruguai for 5 years, going deep inside and stude, to record her first album.
Happy and open to this challenge of reinventing herself every day and raising with music. Deep in all the wonderful trucks that she can offer.

Hoje fusiona influencias musicais  de folclore, culturas ancestrais do mundo  e música eletrónica orgânica.
