i wrote this song to talk about carbon copy culture, and how the media and our surroundings control how we behave. 

carbon copy culture takes form in blindly following trends, looking and acting in the way that society tells us is acceptable. i’ve given this behavior i’ve witnessed a name because i think it is so prevalent in our society. 

i started questioning everything and wondering, who created these rules? why do we all go along with them? why do people live their lives just accepting how things are? is this my idea of beauty or have i been conditioned to believe this is right? social media constantly feeds us unoriginal opinions. 

it’s so ingrained we may not even realize it’s going on so i ask everyone who listens, are you a carbon copy? and do you want to be?
