My rendition of John Lennon's timeless classic, IMAGINE. Having grown up in Russia, learning English as I was listening to The Beatles, this song has meant a lot to me through the years. As a Russian-American, I've been very passionate about promoting peace between Russia & America (and in the world) through music for many years now. Music has an amazing power to heal, break down boundaries and bring the world together. To me, IMAGINE is the embodiment of that power.

I recorded this song for my new album, BORN TO THE STARS.

Personal Note from Marina: I was 8 months pregnant when we recorded WE BELONG (which you can see in the video) and knowing that Pat Benatar was pregnant when she recorded it 35 years ago made this duet even more special.

While I normally sing my own songs (that I write with my husband Nick), WE BELONG is a beautiful exception because I'm singing it together with a dear friend who co-wrote it with another friend of mine (Eric Lowen) who passed away a few years ago.

This song became intertwined with memories of feeling my baby girl inside of me, being anxious about birth, hopeful about her health, curious about her personality and full of love I already had for her. 

And the string arrangement by another talented friend, composer/producer Alex Kharlamov, just tugs at my heart.
