The first time I heard "Superstition" was in the late 80ies when I was at a concert of a local funk & soul band named "Zauberberg" in Munich. They announced Stevie Wonder as an artist that had inspired them a lot. I couldn't believe what i was hearing as Stevie Wonder was a strange old man who's "I just called to say I love you" used to annoy for several years at that point. It had been  on heavy rotation for a long time on every single radio station in those days. 
A few minutes later I couldn't believe again what I was hearing. The (by the way excellent) band played "Superstition" and blew me away with it instantly. That moment literally changed my life and got me hooked on funk for the rest of my days.



in my own and humble opinion "Superstition" ist the greatest Song of all times. It has almost exactly the same age as me and it keeps making me goosebumps for over 20 years now. (Not to forget that it keeps rocking the floors i play for the same amount of time!) 
Its effect on my body and my soul  has become even  greater since the multitrack masters were leaked and inspired many great DJs and remixers to create new versions of it. The original version might be a masterpiece of its own class but the arrangement of  the song and the muddy mastering that was typical for the recordings at Tamla Motown in those days kept big parts of Stevie Wonders genius hidden behind a wall of sound. My thanks in this case go especially to Todd Terje whos edit puts emphasis on both, the musical and engineering quality of every single of that big pile of tracks which were layered to become the wonderful (haha) piece of art that Superstition is. 
This mix is my attempt to return just some of the love I feel everytime I listen to it.
