ODTD052 concludes another ground breaking year on Øddity by welcoming back Neapolitan duo Moonwalk. Since 2021’s acclaimed Solaris EP [ODTD019] Moonwalk have put out key releases for Still Vor Talent, Spectrum and Odd One Out. Mauro and Dario have again been working their magic in the studio, crafting two deep energetic melodic techno gems to close out 2023 on a real high.

Spellbinding title track ‘Gattaca’ sets a focused driving groove from the first bars and straps you in for a thrilling ride. Fx saturated vox samples and reverberating arps pull you in further, leading to a classy synth rich breakdown. From here emotional cathedral like chords heighten your sense of anticipation, creating the perfect moment for rising beats kick back in. Expect a sea of raised arms and happy clubbers.

‘Omnia’ treads a deeper and darker path. Swirling futuristic keys add to the sense of drama, which is amplified further by sonic sub-bass pulses. The melodic breakdown delivers a momentary sense of calm, before staccato drums and throbbing bass pulses amp up the intensity. From here swirling arps transfix and send a shiver down your spine.

Once again, Moonwalk and Øddity delivering where it matters most - through the speaker system projected onto the dance-floor. Next year will be even bigger !!!

The past 12 months has positioned Luke Brancaccio & Simon Berry as one of the most exhilarating new collaborative projects around. Having unveiled two vital, critically acclaimed releases on Bedrock Oblivion (BEDDIGI107) and Close Your Eyes (BEDDIGI120) this highly experienced duo now conclude an exceptional creative year with yet another towering production, I Hear This. Their third, highly accomplished package is completed with a stunning remix courtesy of Yotto.

A trademark of the Brancaccio and Berry partnership is their innate ability to blur any out-dated notions of separation between style and genre. The pulsating, hissing throb of I Hear This skilfully joins the past to the future, cleverly marrying sophisticated melodic motifs with equally hypnotic looped vocal elements, soaring high and diving deep, blending a diverse and original creative palette across 9 minutes of mesmerising electronic wonderment.

Finlands Yotto (Anjunadeep) has an unbounded ability to create joyously mesmerizing house music, and his monstrously energetic interpretation of I Hear This is a perfect complement to the original. Utilising a more linear approach, Yotto sprinkles his dynamic magic dust onto proceedings to dazzling effect and it is no wonder that his musical creations are so admired and sought after worldwide.

Renowned German DJ and producer ​Boris Brejcha has unveiled his hotly anticipated new album ​Space Diver,​ out​ 24th January​ via ​Ultra Music​.
SpaceDiveri​sanemotionally-charged,ten-trackjourney,with​Brejchamasterfully guiding the listener through an array of terrain. No fewer than three tracks from the LP have already been released as singles: there’s the hypnotic, recently released
   
‘Lieblingsmensch’​, trance-inflicted ​‘Never Look Back’ and melodic techno roller ‘Gravity’​, which features the vocals of Berlin-based singer-songwriter ​Laura Korinth​. Things are then closed out with ​‘To The Moon And Back’​, an expertly-crafted slice of what Brejcha refers to as ​‘High-Tech Minimal’​, with the album finding that sweet spot between energetic club cuts and relaxed home listening.
Having completed a North American tour and played at a slew of Ibiza parties across 2019, ​Brejcha shows no signs of taking his foot off the gas in 2020, with festival slots at ​OFFSonar​, ​Exit Festival​ and ​Docklands​ all lined up for the next few months.
Emerging onto the scene with the double EP release of ​‘Monster’ and ​‘Yellow Kitchen’ back in 2006, ​Brejcha has spent the years since developing his own style of music, coined as ​‘High-Tech Minimal’​. In 2018 he dropped a track on the ​Best Of Cloning Sound ​compilation to mark the tenth anniversary of the imprint.
