Summer is in full effect, and even as we enjoy the warm breeze and the occasional boat party, we never quit hunting for fresh music. This time, with a perfect EP for those who enjoy their dose of soul and funky rhythms. Making their OFF debut, Ben and Lennart, a duo hailing from northern Germany better known as Artenviefalt who have already built a reputation with releases on Stil Vor Talent or Light My Fire, provide us with all the right ingredients to make a crowd go wild.

"How We Chill" shows all their sampling skills in full effect, creating a laid back house anthem with a strong soul/hip hop influence and a lovely balearic vocal. A track with many magical moments that hit all the right keys.

"Long Beach" is the second track in the package, another laid back, funky number with a great rolling bassline, tasteful percussion and guitar licks. Incredible vibes all around, be it a rooftop, pool or boat party, this are indeed the perfect tools to make those unforgettable summer nights last forever.

We had the honour to have one of our favourite acts remixed by Exploited mainstay Claptone. The Original Version of 'I'm Aquarius' can be found on Metronomy's recent album 'Love Letters' and is a cocktail of lo-fi synths and clipped, nocturnal rhythms. Now Claptone added some of his magic which brought us to this catchy result made to be played out in the clubs. With friendly permission from Because Music.

As usual, there's much to excite, beginning with the familiar guitar solos, Rhodes keys and dub disco pulse of Antilope's "Singing Ghost" rework. Death On The Balcony keep up the reverb and delay-laden dub disco theme on "Addict For Your Love", whose rubbery groove, twinkling pianos and heady vocals have been expertly rearranged to fit house dancefloors. Finally, Matpat go loop crazy on the thumping disco house cut "Only You" which sits somewhere between Rahaan and Soundstream. Excellent stuff all round.
