This is my personal refix of Booka Shade's beautiful gem: 'Night Falls', taken from the 'Movements' album released in 2006 at Get Physical Music (Berlin). According to Resident Advisor, 'Night Falls' deserves more than one listen: it will intrigue you more if you know its destination. This is exactly what I had in mind when creating this refix: intensify that mysterious sense even more. Hence I've used samples from Larry Gold's 'Night Falls Over Philly' String Version, taken from 'Cinematic Shades (The Slow Songs)' album released in 2008. The subtle classical addition of Larry Gold's uplifting string quartet takes this track to the next level. I just can’t stop listening to it. What about you?

Edinburgh based producer and DJ, DONALD DUST returns with a brand new EP ‘FLUORESCENT MUSIC’ on “Clap Trap Records”. After his last release “Hot on the heels of 2018’s “Mars R-Trax’ 7” which caught the attention of the festival circuit and punk contingent, Donald has delivered something in equal measures.

This 4 track EP stands true to the mission of the label Clap Trap Records: Push the boundaries of what an electronic dance music label means. This track “Fluorescent music” has pushed the boundaries of what we know as the golden era of Italo and Chicago with the fuse of contemporary electro.

Fluorescent Music EP will be available on 12” and Digital via Claptrap.

PREMIERE – Donald Dust – Fluorescent Music (Claptrap Records)

Alex Barck releases ‘Re-set’, the first in a series of 12” vinyl only singles leading to his debut solo album ‘Reunion’. As well as heralding Barck’s first solo work, it also features the future album’s first featured guest in Bristol vocalist Pete Josef.

Three more 12" singles will be released throughout the year before ‘Reunion’ drops later in 2013.

Barck and family left Germany last summer for a new home on the idyllic La Reunion Indian Ocean island, which gifts the album its ambiguous title as well as a theme of new beginnings and fusion. It is here where he has been progressively guiding ‘Reunion’ through to completion for the past year.

Alex Barck is a founding member of the renowned DJ and producer collective Jazzanova, one half of the Prommer & Barck project and A&R manager for record label Sonar Kollektiv.
