Inspired by the African-American Civil Rights movement happening in Oakland, a young Mexican American man, by the name Jimmy Delgadillo, took to the streets to organize Oakland's Latino community. He later went on to become one of the founding members of The Unity Councill, a long-standing institution based in Oakland's Fruitvale district. His daughter, Marcelina Delgadillo shares with us memories growing up with her activist father.
