Following hot on the heels of the brilliant collab release with Shur-I-
Kan, the man like Milton Jackson steps up for his first solo release for
Freerange since 2009.  With just a couple of recent and forthcoming
releases for Closer To Truth and Housewax, we welcome the Scotsman back with open arms as he delivers a five track EP which we’re sure you’ll agree has been well worth the wait!

Opening track Remember reminds us why we first fell for MJ’s music all
those years ago.  Filmic strings add that deep, widescreen mood whilst a
punchy house groove and bouncing square wave bassline satisfy the low end junkies.

Lockdown Love continues with a brilliant flip of a familiar sample, loaded with a positivity that can’t fail to lift the floor and with that crunchy, raw production courtesy of MJ’s beloved EMU sampler.
For the third track he drops the BPM for the blissed-out slice of heaven
entitled Adriatica.  Here we get a good listen of Milton in musical mode
as he goes heavy on lush Rhodes, 80’s Moog lines and sun-soaked strings.

On Birdsong we’re treated to a twitchers delight as things head deep into a tropical oasis with another slo-mo house groove to smooch n’ sway to.

Wrapping up the release we head full on Balearic with Miami Voice,   a nod to the synth pioneers Vangelis and Moroder and just the kind of retro beauty to reduce a grown man to tears as the sun rises over a Glasgow afterparty.
