episode 3 of partly cloudy, was another pre-record bc i was away in cold and windy landaaan for my bothers birthday last week.

really enjoyed putting this mix together, recorded it on a whim in my room in berlin and finally played some records i picked up over summer and autumn. usually i plan mixes a little bit but this time i just started recording and ended up with a first hour of  dub and reggae and a second hour of groove with a little wigged out experimental section in between. 

then went in on the echo while editing the mix which was also v funnn🎛️

definitely one of my favourite partly cloudy mixes and the spontaneity of it is sth i want to try in a live mix too!⛅️

episode 7 of partly cloudy - packed a handful of records and decided to go for  a lil explore. usually i like to plan out my shows a bit, but there was none of that for this episode. really enjoyed the spontaneity and how it turned out, complete with a little silent section where the mic wasn't working lol.

Between May 30th and June 1st I was invited by the lovely people at R100 Projectspace (https://www.instagram.com/r100_projectspace/) to host a soundwalk at their festival which has the theme ‘Holding Space’.

I thought it would be fitting to dedicate this episode to soundwalks; what a soundwalk is, why i like them so much, revisit some pieces I’ve written for past soundwalks aaaand to chat a  bit about the upcoming walk <3

for episode 15 of partly cloudy i was joined by the one and only lyndon lewis on @etikettradio <3

head honcho at manchester-born, berlin-based label/event series trip the light, lover of tiramisu and manchester united, flask of tea always at hand. one of the sweetest and most supportive people i know, lyndon has mastered the art of giving feedback like no other. we probably hold the record for sending each other the longest and slowest voice notes known to humanity, the 1.5x speed function has saved both of us countless hours. 

listen back to the longest partly cloudy to date, as the forecast predicted the weather held a bit of sunny brazilian, some windy and energetic post-punk, and of course a few dub thunderstorms to round things off.⛅️⛅️

for the final partly cloudy episode of season two i was joined in the @etikettradio booth by the lovely cam (https://on.soundcloud.com/8XkkQkLgTYYEZh9HTV). 

the weather for the show was true to forecast and we floated our way through a nostalgic and heartfelt guitar haze that felt like the sun setting over a field on a warm summer evening. Featuring sounds from Mica Levi, Holger Czukay (pronounced choo-kay), Stereolab, Broadcast and many more. 

a mystery microphone in the studio was occasionally picking up the sound of our chitchat in the background which adds a nice personal touch to the recording, as well as a ghost in the machine adding a bonfire crackle here and there. 

all in all the perfect way to close out season 2 of partly cloudy; big love to cam for joining me (to be repeated) and to anyone that listened to the show over the past 9 months. 

will be back with partly cloudy season 3 some time in autumn, until then lots of love, take care of yourselves and each other! peace <3
