This is a song that I started writing about a girl I know that's sometimes a little "loud," but in a good way.  As I got into the song I realized we all know someone that can sometimes get a little loud. . .looking back I've had some "loud" moments myself, and that's OK!  At the end of the day I think this song is about giving it all you've got and getting everything life can give.  It's about seizing the day.  After all, life is too short to just sit back and watch it pass us by!  Go ahead and live it up!  It's OK to get LOUD!

This is a song I got the idea for years ago while on the phone with a good friend of mine.  We were talking about what all was going on that weekend, what we were going to do, where we were going, etc.  Toward the end of the conversation he made the statement, "no big deal, just a typical friday night around here."  I wrote this song within an hour of hanging up the phone.  It's your typical Friday night, party in the country, working' for the weekend, tune.  Nothing in this one that you have to think about really. . . just a fun rockin'-country song!  It's been our show opener for the last year.  Enjoy! - MC

Friday Night 'Round Here

Ok, so years ago I used to stop at this local convenience store every morning on my way to work for a cup of coffee.  And every morning the manager there, her name was Helen, as I recall, would ask me the same question. . ."You mean, you ain't made the big time yet."  Every day I would smile, shake my head, and say, "nope."  It finally hit me one day. . .that's a song title!  After work that night I went home pulled out my guitar and wrote Big Time.  Was fortunate to work on this song with the talented Michael Knox (Jason Aldean, etc.).  It's the only song on the CD recorded in Nashville, and it's been our show closer for the last year or so. This is a song I often refer to as our real life love song.  It's a song about give and take, push and pull, and all of those things that go along with real life love. . .It's a dance in the kitchen with your baby, rockin', bluesy kind of jam! - MC



You're Gonna Have That

I wrote this song about my grandpa, Gene Kluck.  He was a WWII veteran and a member of the 8th Army Division Reconn. Group.  He landed on Omaha Beach 14 days after the invasion, and spent almost 3 years in Europe before the end of the war.  He shared with me many stories about his time there. . .Stories about the Hurtgen Forest, The Battle of the Bulge, digging fox-holes, German Half-tracks, and many others.  I started many workday mornings with my grandpa saying, "you'd never guess where I was 60-some years ago today?"  I am blessed with these memories. . .but I still miss the stories.  My grandpa, like a lot of grandpas I think, was larger than life.  He was tough.  He was funny.  He had a big heart. . .He was a good grandpa.

I want to send this song out to all our veterans and active servicemen and women out there, along with their families, for their enduring willingness and selfless sacrifice to protect our freedoms and our way of life.  God bless you all! -MC

This is a song I wrote about an alcohol aided vacation I took one night that I hand't planned on taking.  Ha!  Hey, sometimes we all just need a little get-away!  I guess every respectable country artist really should have at least one good drinking song. . .Paradise is mine.  I'll bet right now, out there somewhere in the world, somebody is one drink away from paradise!! Cheers! -MC
