The first Prelude from my ongoing 'Preludes (for piano)' suite [2021-] , which uses serial techniques. The four transformations of the set complex are complemented by the additional use of free melodic inversion. I have dedicated the piece to my former composition teacher,

when carried through the farm gate
as the sun comes up

Nozawa Bonchō was a haikai poet and disciple of Basho who worked as a doctor in Kyoto. Later in life Bonchō distanced himself from Basho’s school and was imprisoned for a crime. He died in 1714.

For this track I made heavy use of Spitfire Audio's LABS Instruments: Soft Piano, Tape Orchestra Strings Flautando and Peel Guitar Ensemble. The field recordings in the background are from LABS' magnificent Tundra Atmos.

Another of my piano piece from the 90s. This one has a plaintive mood, but the music flows along unhindered by the mood, and there are warmer moments in the middle section. The piece was composed on 4-6 July 1992; what was I longing for back then? Almost certainly an end to the loneliness that I had felt for many years by this stage

Dies ist ein "sehr" roher" Track. Allerdings nicht, was die Melodik betrifft; deswegen habe ich ihn auch "Chapters: part one" benannt. Die "Overture" ist eingefügt worden von mir. Einfach reinhören ;)

This is a "very rough" track, but not in terms of melody, which is why I named it "Chapters: part one." The "Overture" has been added by me.
