At the end of last year, London Acid House legend Terry Farley swung by the Brownswood Basement for a chat with Gilles, discussing his 'Acid' compilation series, which dig deep into Chicago house and deep house from the mid to late 1980s.  

Terry also discusses his role in the seminal club night, Shoom, the Boy's Own fanzine he ran with Andrew Weatherall, and the Junior Boy's Own label which birthed Chemical Brothers, Underworld, and many more. 

Plus, Terry discusses London in the 1970s and 80s, his stance on the Punk movement, the role of ecstasy in the emergence of club culture,  the role of the internet in today's scene, and many other theories!

A very special 40th episode showcases arguably one of the best triple packs every released, especially considering it was relatively early in the timeline of mix cd history (1996). It features selections from Derrick Carter, Andrew Weatherall and Back to Basic's resident, Ralph Lawson.

We originally featured this CD in the early days of The Classic Mix CD Series, when it was recommended by Shindig's Scott Bradford as his most influential piece in his collection.

So it's fitting, that after more shouts out to use it from everyone on Facebook, that we feature all 3 discs for the 400th episode celebration. Thanks to everyone for getting involved all of the plays and positive messages.

But unfortunately it had to leave its spiritual home of Elysium a while back to no thanks of the heavy handed approach of the establishment but relocated to the more fashionable climate of Kyo/Ren right under the gaze of the Petronas Towers..enjoy!
