This song was written for a friend whose wife has Alzheimer's Disease. He suggested the title. It is a horrible disease. The song has a couple of acoustic guitars, a bass guitar, a dobro, and a mandolin. I hope it blesses someone.

12 From The Rising Of The Sun

This is from 1993.  I recorded it at Ed Cooper's studio on E. Boulevard St.  I wrote the music in the late 80's for a band I was in.  I did different lyrics and redid the song in 1993.  It is a fun tune with some fun little additions in the solo.

Rock of Love

This song was written while my good friend Spencer Bacus was in a coma in 2017. There was a Facebook group called Open Your Eyes. I thought it was appropriate to write a song based on this theme. I enlisted the help of Phil Keaggy, Spencer's good friend, and also hired Brice Williams, former drummer with Lady Antebellum, now with Grand Old Opry member Mark Wills,  Phil joins me on vocals, along with adding some beautiful electric guitar on the outro section. He and I trade solos back and forth during this section. All the tracking  and arranging besides who I already mentioned is by me.
Spencer came out of his coma before I got the song done, so I was able to present it to him while he was in the hospital.  He was taken home to Jesus the following spring. One of the most remarkable young men I have ever met.

I wrote this in the 90's. I don't really remember recording it but I obviously did!  I had completely forgotten the instrumental intro where I am doing my nylon string guitar stuff. Was a nice find!

Wind Beneath My Wings

I wrote this song a few weeks ago for our 36th wedding anniversary. Have been recording it over the last few weeks since. Appearing on this recording are the awesome drum stylings of Brice Williams, who is the drummer for country superstar Mark Wills, and was formerly the drummer for Lady Antebellum. On keyboards is none other than Dennis Patton, who is the mad genius behind the arranging and instrumental tracks of the megahit by Bob Carlisle,  "Butterfly Kisses." I am doing everything else. This song has been such a blessing to write and record. Happy 36th anniversary, baby!
