This song is all about a man who once loved the woman of his dreams, as she broke his heart and left him for America. He had to move on with his life whilst always thinking of her. He married and had a loving family reared, yet every Christmas especially, he thought about the one he couldn't tame, wondering if she would ever walk through the door of his local Irish bar again. 

After writing my book Cloch Mor Lore: Kilbroney, a number of people (especially singer songwriters) reached out to me suggesting that I should have a go at writing songs. I have always wanted to do so, so I've went for it.

After a number of attempts, I have finally written this Christmas song called Home (For Christmas). I provided the lyrics and melody and the wonderful singer songwriter Ian Janco Gillberg provides the soothing vocals and music. He is such a huge talent and I'm a very lucky man to have the likes of Ian showing interest in this, my first attempt at a Christmas song.

We hope to pitch this demo to interested publishers next year and sure you never know what could happen. Life is certainly too short to be constantly saying "What if?"

Home(For Christmas Time)

I love writing when I can find the time, but lately, other singer songwriters have suggested that I should have a go at songwriting.

I am really enjoying that feeling of creating something new and the actual songwriting process is great fun also, especially when collaborating with someone. I'm definitely enjoying this new journey.
