Collaborating once again on Kittball, Juliet Sikora and Flo Mrzdk drop summertime single ‘Fuck, Marry, Kill’ featuring a murkier remix from Belgian producer Maxim Lany.
Straight off the back of remixing Claptone, Kittball co-owner Juliet Sikora’s is always one to bring the energy and her high charged productions have gained serious traction in her homeland Germany and beyond, including releasing or remixing for labels like Relief, Cajual and Mother Recordings. Joining her in the studio once again following last year’s ‘The Get Down’ and a remix of Tube & Berger’s ‘Dust Feel’, Kittball and Be An Ape regular Flo Mrzdk adds to the already expected momentum.
Each track has a dance floor driven focus with upbeat tempos and a choice brazen vocal sample. ‘Fuck, Marry, Kill’ itself is undoubtedly a blowout summer track - pad driven, packed with hi hats with hoppy bass weaving through. Meanwhile, on remix duties We Play House producer Maxim Lany offers a darker vibe - weighing in with a heavier driving bass but maintaining the same galvanising atmosphere with the heady vocal.

Beico & MT93 are back on Unrilis with a new four-track EP in the style they have previously championed on other labels such as Terminal M, Respekt, Kraftek and Suara.

The Argentinian duo’s last release on Unrilis picked up support from artists ranging from Adam Beyer to Slam, and this one is a much anticipated follow up.

Opening the EP is “Reflection Intro” which ramps up the tension with slow-building synths and dramatic bass stabs. The original mix of “Reflection” is next on the EP with its rattling hi-hats and pounding kick drum fused with the namesake vocal sample.

Second of the original cuts is “Tenebrous” that combines a flickering lead synth with explosive tom drums and thrashing off-beat hats. “Real Faces” closes the EP with its pulsating bass synth overplayed with bursts of euphoria perfect for maximum dance floor impact.

Monika Kruse welcomes back Joyhauser for the next instalment of Terminal M's 20 year anniversary celebrations with 'Warped'.

A rare treat for Drumcode faithful: A-Sides Vol.10 is set to drop in December, the second edition of the beloved series to come in 2020.

Fuelled by the extra time and space to be creative during lockdown, Drumcode’s collective of artists have stepped up. Across 17 contributions, the producers have gone deeper into their sonic repertoire, crafting powerful, yet reflective works that capture the range of the label’s sound.

Jay Lumen leads the way with a rousing riff-driven weapon, ‘Galactic Rainbow’, while Ramon Tapia brings us the muscular gem ‘Drum Control’, mixing up ruffneck techno with a barrage of synapse-tickling synths in the second half. Both rousing highlights of the compilation.
Victor Ruiz, Drumcode’s most prolific contributor in 2020, dishes up ‘Love Story’, led by a huge vocal lead. Zimmz also returns with ‘Tension’, which deftly combines deep squelchy grooves with a silky synth interlude. Thomas Hoffknecht follows up his debut on Vol.9 with ‘Escape’, keeping listeners on their toes with dynamic, choppy shifts throughout. Veerus joins with another stirring addition ‘I Know’, reinforcing why Beyer rates him so highly.

Elsewhere a string of debutants feature: buzzy newcomer Lilly Palmer gives us ‘Amnesie’, a brilliantly pummelling and eerie cut; Alex Lentini & Stomp Boxx serve up ‘Expanders’ mixing up drone effects, trippy vocals and an unsettling melody line; and Patrik Berg’s ‘Activated’ is full-bodied techno that drops down into funky rhythms.

Long-time DC family member Bart Skils brings his A-game with the thrilling no-nonsense ‘Solid State’ that hits like a steam train. Likewise, Alan Fitzpatrick who brings a momentous slab of techno energy with ‘Rochus’, while Thomas Schumacher, now feeling like a regular on the imprint, crafts another dark techno opus, this time in collaboration with CAITLIN.

There’s even a special appearance by the chief Adam Beyer, who makes a welcome return with the progressive-tinged ‘Changes’, driven by organic tones and spacey atmospherics. The track stands as his first original contribution to A-Sides since 2017.

Mark Greene is an electronic music producer and qualified sound engineer based in Ireland. After completing his training in the Sound Training Centre in Dublin under Will Kinsella (Hybrasil), Mark began signing some early tracks to various labels in Europe. Quite soon after, Mark was releasing tracks on well established labels like Bush Records, Naked Lunch, Elektrax and Carl Cox’ longstanding imprint Intec Digital. A string of popular releases allowed Mark to play gigs across Europe with regular trips to Amsterdam, in particular for the annual ADE each Autumn.

An avid drummer as a child, Mark has always had an affinity for heavy kick-drums in his tracks. As the years have gone by his productions have gained some bpm and Mark’s music is now finding its way into the hands of DJs at the forefront of the industrial techno scene. Rebekah, I Hate Models, Theo Nasa, Chris Liebing, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Amelie Lens and more are supporting his productions of late, particularly his original tracks on his newly established DORCHA Records - meaning ‘dark’ in the Irish language.

Mark launched DORCHA in 2020 to circumnavigate the typical months-long process of releasing on other labels. DORCHA is a place for Mark to release tracks on his own schedule and experiment with various different styles and creative approaches. The aim of the label is to identify new artists and build a small roster to carry the DORCHA flag.

Each month you can tune into Mark’s Progress Radio show for one hour of unreleased music from himself and some of the best producers in techno. Broadcasting on several stations around the world, the show will reach the 100 episode milestone in 2022.
