The tape recorder was running, this was about 3a.m. on a Chicago night 2001. My friday night party, "The Hole". We did this party for about a year in Chicago, it was private. I gave Toby many of these recordings, he named this tape like many back then I made by what songs struck him the most. This night is so clear still, many great moment and memories This first from the main boxes of my cassette collection will be an endless series of tape transfers of my music journey through life.

It was the mid-late 90's - my early 20's, many weekends my friend Toby would come by my place for what we called "sessions".  In addition with our regular party favors being pizza, beer, spirits, and blank tapes - I would mix all night recording from tape to tape.  Sharing this music was like a secret club back in those days, and Toby is that dude :-) Toby has had this mix in his archives where they fortunately have been safe for some years now.
